ISU requesting more tickets!!!!!!

Quite the extrapolation, by that logic we should have between 20-26k ?

Actually it is surprising how many end up showing on game day based on school sales, I saw a tweet earlier about our 09 insight bowl sales being like 9k. And it sure seemed like we had a hell of a lot more, at least double that at the actual game.

I think it might be because other than higher level donors, you don't personally benefit a ton by going through the school, and i believe can actually see where your seats will be.

In fact it hurts you. Especially if you have a group bigger than 4 people wanting to sit together.

Probably truth to that, I wish there was a way of knowing how many people were using sources other than our ticket office. I do expect us to come close to 20k by the time we kick off. But that could be a steep estimation based on how much the sales have slowed this week.
I do know that we have about 6-7 to buy yet but aren't worried about where we are sitting, just happy to go.

Our fans are just slow to buy tickets, a lot of them are old so they are probably mailing in their orders.

I would think your fan base might be excited at a rematch to get a win more so than our fan base is for a second win. Easy travel and a NYC expense bowl game last year has our fan base just itching for a reason to travel together cheaply.

I'd love to go back to Phoenix. Too bad we couldn't get another win. I think our turn out would have been equally as impressive given the extra 14 hours of travel or expensive airfare.

I know of several people that are not going through the university and I'll bet there are thousands more, except students who get the subsidized tickets.

DirtyDanchez, I like your style. You have the kind of attitude that we need more of from our own fans.

Hope you are enjoying your participation on CF. I'm sure it will get testy at some points when the members of our Junior League start pummeling you with clever "Tulsa sucks" posts. Note that our site has a feature that allows you to block posts from particular members if you wish.

Looking forward to more football conversation and honest appraisals of both of our fans.

Did you come up to the game in Ames? You sound like you would have had a great time tailgating with us.

Yeah our group had a blast up there, I am pretty sure I tried at least 10 different types of Iowa Whiskey at different tailgates, made for a interesting trek up to the stadium but I made it. Our group is the black sheep of the Tulsa fan base so we felt right at home at Iowa State, as you guys know how to party compared to the elitist a holes we have at Tulsa who are the whine and cheese social crowd.

Also I don't mind when opposing fans talk smack, although I prefer people to at least be clever, the do you know what Tulsa spelled backwards is gets old pretty quick.

No fan base will ever be as bad as UCF, those idiots threw beer and hotdogs at us as we walked through their tailgate, why the hell would you waste beer.

So, then, why don't you just disavow your support for Tulsa and become an Iowa State fan? We've already shown that we would welcome you with open arms (and bottles). You fit better with us, so come on over. Trade the Hurricanes for the Cyclones.

Are you a former player? Or current player (would be even more interesting)? You sound like you are pretty committed to the football program, but not necessarily the rest of the university.

I like this guy. I think we can be friends.
