IMO, being consistently at top volume doesn't create the Magic...that's just noise. The Magic comes from knowing when to get louder. Yes, we cheer for baskets, and louder when they're really great baskets. We cheered loudly for J Jeff's triple double. We make lots of noise on the defensive end, especially in tight games. That's the Magic.
Short version...screaming full volume for an entire game is not necessary (unless the score is not in our favor).

I understand some parts of this take and disagree with others. One thing I think that does bring the magic and is something you don’t see very many places is many times the crowd can sense a lull in the momentum or that the team is struggling. For example, down 10 pts early to a bad team. That situation puts many arenas to sleep. Often times in this situation, the Hilton crowd will rise up “willing” the energy back into the atmosphere.
Agree with that. Our crowd does that well.

Bottom line: our fans are really good; just think we can still be better and striving to participate and make it an even more intimidating environment all the time. Hilton is still a special place.

Don't mean to sound elitist here but Hilton Magic is not an every-game type of thing, it's an occasional / rare / special thing. Hard to define concretely but you know it when you see it. Now it's become a marketing term and every time the crowd is loud it's "Hilton Magic".
