So don’t tell me about his ******* resume. He didn’t have ANY OC experience before this stage, which is a bad hire for this important position.
Mount Union isn’t ******* big boy football like this.
Nopethen you want Matt out too, right?
You know, I sincerely hope you aren't right about Campbell preferring to keep Manning and putting out performances like this than trying to find a different approach. You could very well be right, but I just don't want to think about what that means and what that could lead to.then you want Matt out too, right?

Okay 1969 tell me why he was a good hire for this important position at this level.

Tom Manning is behind the times as a play caller, and just because Iowa State had dog water offenses for decades and he's set records compared to those doesn't make him the best we can do at the position.if this is what you even consider thinking about after the last four years, you aren’t thinking logically at all.
Because the head coach decided he was, and still is.
If you trust the head coach’s judgement, then you trust he’s only going to surround himself with people that compliment him.
We aren’t, and haven’t been, at the fire the coordinator stage to save the head coach’s job because we have had 4 straight years of success. There’s a lot of football left to be played this year as well.
if that is where you think we are, then you are also prepared to move on from the head coach
Coaches change coordinators all the time it doesn’t mean the coach goes too, for ***** sake. Also I never said I was as ready to move on from Campbell *******.
Nopenot at all, head coaches make changes all the time while retaining their position.if you’re expecting Tom Manning to go, as long as Matt Campbell is the head coach at Iowa State, you are.
Is Manning doing as good of job as the DC? And it is generally regarded as harder to manufacture talent and advantages on defense.
What would we think of CMC if his DC were performing at Manning's level the last 5 years? Would CMC be on the hotseat?
I am begging you to set your sights as high as the stated ones of the team. If Iowa State wants to compete at the highest level of the sport, and I believe they do, an upgrade to a creative OC who can generate explosive plays is going to be necessary. Tom Manning seems to do a pretty good job at developing offensive lineman, but in no way has he done anywhere near the job Heacock has done.I’m sure you’d be content if Iowa State was still 3-9 to 6-6 every year so you could continue to pretend to be smarter than everyone else.
but none of that has happened. All of these guys, and players, have built a program where there wasn’t one.

Why is Tom Manning paying to be on CF? Go read a study on EPA from passing vs running on 1st and 10, Tom.You should call the coaches show on Monday, and let him know then.
I don’t know why this is so hard for you to understand. As long as Matt Campbell is the coach at Iowa State, he will have who he wants on his staff. He’s known Tom Manning since he coached him at Mount Union. He’s not anywhere, unless it’s with Matt to another school.
if this is something that wounds you to your soul, you had better find a band aid. It isn’t changing
