Really played well offensively after the poor start. They hit some tough shots in the 1st half but kind of felt like at half it was going to be tough for them to keep that up.

One small critique I saw someone else allude to... I'd really like to see us do better at stretching leads. I know we broke it open eventually and all but a lot of times when we get that 4-6 point we have a complete breakdown defensively or if we do get the stop, take a heat check type shot on offense. Gotta stay composed in those situations and keep running what's working.

CSP wants the OReb% at 25% or below. Tonight we gave up 31%. Improvement from the last two games but still need to clean that up. Defense was really locked in in the second half overall. Thought Babb especially did great on D and the boards. Great to see.

Everyone will point to the 3 pointers we made winning the game, but holding them to 61 was the reason we won.
That defensive energy was inspired by the team making a number of 3s! That energy doesn't happen for this team on the defensive end with them going 2 for 20 from the 3.

The defense is what I had a major issue with during the first half. I was hoping for a good defensive performance in the 2nd half & that's what we got! Why we couldn't get this type of performance the previous two games is truly head-scratching. I still can't figure this team out - can we break through and go on a long winning streak? I certainly hope so!!

I didn't think that the first half defense was bad. OU was just hitting some crazy shots.

drive first instead of 3 point first mentality was the difference. tcu they started to play that way but it was too late. that is prohm's style. we must have a drive first mentality it opens everything up and will get the 3s dropping again. also the 3s that are missed early in the shot clock is allowing transitions from the opposing team to be easy. prohm is beating this into their head not sure why it is taking so long but prohm lets people do whatever for as long as possible. looking for a march run here. drive first shoot 3s off the kick or if you have to will be the key going forward. also wigginton will be back we have a good team coming back but i hope this team can make a final four run. we will be out in the boonies for the tourney but luckily this team seems unphased by a home court advantage different from the hoiberg years where then if we could have got home court in ncaa tourney we could have won it all and almost did without it but niang foot but that team had kane who ding ding could drive the ball whenever.

I know the first half wasn't great, but I thought it was significantly different than the first halves against TCU, Baylor, and TCU. Our defense wasn't great in the first half, but Oklahoma made some contested shots. When Oklahoma went on some runs, we didn't let them turn into terrible runs. Nick's 8 rebounds were huge. Everyone was diving on the floor and attempting to get rebounds. Lindell played well and had a nose for the ball.

So you're OK with keeping CSP around for a bit longer?

I thought Defense was bad in the first half and our shot selection sometimes is down right ugly. 2nd half was a totally different team. Picked up the defense and took better shots. If we can ditch the hero ball for a whole game and play good defense the whole game. We could be a really tough out in the tourney. If at any point during the tourney any of our guys decides to try and impress the NBA scouts we could be in trouble.

Nice win for a team that was reeling a little after last week. OU sucks, but the Cyclones did what a good team should do at home against a crappy opponent.

I thought Talley gave them some quality minutes in the first half and I'd like to see his PT increase a bit, but I'm not sure whose minutes should decrease to make room for him in the rotation at this point.

It looked to me like this was Wigginton's best defensive game. He looked really solid for the most part.

Yeah, not only was he extending out, but he was staying in front of guys. Very intense. Exactly what we need from him. I think it helps when the bigs are properly positioned to head off the drive on the pick and roll. Allows our guys out there to defend a bit tighter.

"hero ball" and "NBA Scouts" are kryptonite for winning.

The defensive effort in the first half was fine, OU just kept hitting really tough shots at the end of the shot the shot clock. Those shots weren't going to continue to fall.

Good bounce back win.

Was encouraged to see us respond after the timeout Prohm called down 14-7 early.

Outstanding second half. Adjusted to shut down their perimeter offense, fought for rebounds on both ends, stole the ball like we used to, and made shots. Back on the right track, and a lot to build on from tonight
Great to see the team come together. I was quite worried after another slow start. What do they have to do to get a decent start. Fortunately OU didn't put them in too big a hole, but we need to stop the early game funk somehow.

I thought our effort against OU was much better. I also thought our effort against TCU was pretty good. The threes against TCU were good looks most of the time, but just didn't fall. We changed our philosophy to driving to the basket and it worked, but dug too deep of a hole to come out of. When the outside shots were't falling early against OU I was worried, but the team kept up the defensive effort and went to driving to the basket earlier which created better opportunities and got us going. OU was hitting some very contested shots early which kept them in the game to start, but they didn't keep falling.

Saw a really good effort out there by the team. Guys were fighting and hustling and that usually leads to good things. Hopefully they can put together a little winning streak here.
