Well, the hawkeyes have a quarter billion dollar hole of debt, and ISU hires people to fundraise while working the games, so maybe barta has hawkeye teams trying to pay off that mess he created.

I never noticed until this game when Kolar scored that awesome touchdown in the corner that the whole stadium scoreboards when fully blue to the Allstate logo. I was hoping to see the replay, but it seemed very intentional that no replay was shown until the extra point was attempted. It's a brilliant move not to give the opposing team or referees any reason to see the play again and review it, I just hadn't noticed it maybe. Has this been going on for a while?

I was chatting with @NWICY before the game when a couple who was in retirement age came up and asked if we could help them locate their seats. Mentioned it was the first time they had attended a game at JTS. Nice to see different people showing up. Hope they enjoyed it the best they could.
I've been to one game at Kinnick that didn't involve ISU. It was vs. Purdue in 2004 and had some hype going in. I was ready to leave at halftime, and it had nothing to do with doofus Hawkeye fans. It's just boring to sit for 4 hours for a game you don't have a rooting interest in.
I've tailgated in Iowa City plenty of times. Always had a good time, but doubt I ever return, and if I did, I would definitely not wear Cyclone gear. It's lame, but that's their thing. Being obnoxious is something they are proud of/think is funny/cool.
I got access to some tickets at Lambeau. I got the tickets for Vikings @ Packers even though I am not a fan of either team. I took my buddy who is a Packers fan and had never been to Lambeau. We had a good time at the game and at the bars after shooting the **** with anybody and everybody.
There’s a guy in front of me that rarely misses a game. Cheers for Iowa state like the rest of us. But every two years he shows up in his Iowa hat. He might be the only Iowa fan I like. He cheers for Iowa but isn’t an ass about it and keeps his mouth shut. And he seriously does cheer for us every other game.
Also the guy that’s been behind us for 10 years is still missing this year. He also never misses a game.
