I'm convinced.

Is that why this was your first post?

"Greetings!

New here, but am a life long Iowan and have followed both the Clones and the Hawks since I was about 8 years old. I'm not a huge fan of either ISU or Iowa, but am a very avid college football enthusiast.

Historically, I have liked both the Clones and the Hawks (weird, I know), but have never been a die hard fan of either team because of a few things I don't like about them. I can't stand Ferent'z coaching style, and I really don't consider him much of a head coach. Good O-line coach though. I think he had early success because he hired a very good staff that could recruit good players. Once they left, he has had trouble. And he's one of the worst ever game day coaches in all of football, not just college. I'm talking in ALL of football.

The thing I don't like about ISU is, well, you guys usually lose a lot of games each season. And I never thought McCarney turned the program around. You don't have a last season like he did if you truly turned the program around. And I am unsure if your team will ever be a winning team, season in and season out.

Having said all that, what do you guys think of your program currently?

Will CPR turn it around? (I certainly don't think he will this year. You don't have good talent at all.)

Should the fat offensive coach get the nod to turn the program around?

What do you all think?"

Might wanna read that again. I said I can't stand ferentz. He's one of the reasons I gave up on them.

Look at how critical of kf I was in that post. How the hell does that make me a hawk?

The hokfan doth protest too much, methinks.

I don't like the hawks, and have always liked the clones since I was a kid.

How probable do you think it is that a big name coach comes here? Just curious.

As is evidenced by the "my biggest problem with ISU is that you guys suck and will always suck."

As for your other question, it depends on what you consider a big name. We're not pulling in Stoops, but there's no reason we can pull in one of the hot names right now, depending on how dominos fall with bigger programs.

What Boykin will or won't do in the NFL is completely irrelevant regarding his play as a college QB this year.

Yeah, it kind of is.

If he isn't good enough to play QB in the NFL, and assuming that at least one current college player is, then he is, by definition, NOT the best college QB in the country this year.

Get it?

That's not how this works, that's not how any of this works.

That is one stupid post.

So "best college player" isn't necessarily the best player at his position in college.

You people are morons. No wonder your football program sucks.

Or you're too stupid to realize the college game plays vastly different offenses than in the NFL. Tebow was already used as an example, but you could also throw out Eric Crouch, Tommy Frazier, Charlie Ward, Chris Weinke and Danny Wuerfel as Heisman winning quarterbacks that didn't translate to an NFL offense.

I don't get Hawks confusion that just because you might not make a great pro doesn't mean you're not a great collegiate player.

Don't know how you couldn't, but ok.
...Do you mean FCS? Because we've held a solid FCS team to 7 and a terrible FBS team to 13. A good MAC team scored 23 in regulation. So I fully believe we could hold a good DII team to one or no TD's.

stfu FreeRentz is still sub-.500 vs ISU since 1999 and you idiots (90%) wanted Freerentz fired last January
