I'm convinced.

Anytime that your offense doesn't score a point in 3 quarters, how can u complain about the defense? The offense didn't do diddly s*** to help win the game. The defense was not the issue tonight.

Of course the O sucks. Well, not the O, but Sam R. does. Never said they didn't. But there is no excuse in giving up 621 yards and 45 points.

Your right it's not but the defense gave the offense many chances to help win this game. Did the defense play lights out no, but outside the 1st quarter, the offense gave us no chance at keeping us in the game. At least the defense gave us a fighting chance and kept us alive and in the game for 3 quarters

Dude, I hate the hawks with a passion. Good grief. I have lost 5 bets on them this year. I can't stand kf or anything about iowa city at all. YUCK.

This is an exact copy of the denial note a 5th grader sends to his buddy who claims he has a crush on the little fat girl with braces, because everyone saw him trying to make out with her and get up her shirt because she's the only girl in class with boobies, but really, that's just because she's fat.

Believe what you want. I hate the hawks.

A good Division II team with a good qb could score a couple touchdowns on this D. It's beyond sickening how many yards and points they give up week after week after week after week after week, etc.......

Well hate to break it to you but I played on a good division 2 team and no I think they would have exposed the hell out if the holes we and every d2 team inevitably has. Good D2 teams would get blown out by UNI.

And I'm convinced that some folks like you don't have a clue. Is our defense great? Absolutely not. But tell me what defense is going to look good playing the second and third top offenses in the nation back to back? Unfortunately, we get to play the #1 offense in the nation next week.

We could definately use some improvement on defense (and even more on offense ), but what is really "sickening" is our strength of schedule. It's so hard climb to the top of the mountain in college football, but our particular route is steepest in the nation - in part because we have one of the toughest conference schedules in the country (something we have little control over) and in part because we have one of the toughest nonconference schedules in the country (something we some control over). If our strength of schedule was equivalent to Iowa's, we wouldn't be having this conversation.

1. I am not a hawk. I hate them
2. Don't know why the heck you think I am
3. Get real about how bad this D really is

Is that why this was your first post?

New here, but am a life long Iowan and have followed both the Clones and the Hawks since I was about 8 years old. I'm not a huge fan of either ISU or Iowa, but am a very avid college football enthusiast.

Historically, I have liked both the Clones and the Hawks (weird, I know), but have never been a die hard fan of either team because of a few things I don't like about them. I can't stand Ferent'z coaching style, and I really don't consider him much of a head coach. Good O-line coach though. I think he had early success because he hired a very good staff that could recruit good players. Once they left, he has had trouble. And he's one of the worst ever game day coaches in all of football, not just college. I'm talking in ALL of football.

The thing I don't like about ISU is, well, you guys usually lose a lot of games each season. And I never thought McCarney turned the program around. You don't have a last season like he did if you truly turned the program around. And I am unsure if your team will ever be a winning team, season in and season out.

Having said all that, what do you guys think of your program currently?

Will CPR turn it around? (I certainly don't think he will this year. You don't have good talent at all.)

Should the fat offensive coach get the nod to turn the program around?

What do you all think?"
