"I don't like the Cubs."

Good for you! But why is anything he says news-worthy? Oh, that's right. He said something anti-Cubs, so all the pitiful Reds and Cardinals fans can have a circle-jerk about how cool it is to hate the Cubs. Reds fans (and players, I guess) should actually spend more time enjoying their team's current success, and less team relishing the Cubs lousy season.

i am neither a Reds or Cards fan.
Royals fan and Rox fan. and yes I know the Royals are terrible but i'm not gonna cry and throw a hissy fit when somebody makes that statement

Again, good for you. Nobody will say anything about the Red Sox or Royals, because nobody cares.

Nobody really cares about the Cubs this season either being 9.5 games back.

And yes, I am enjoying the Reds season this year while it lasts. It is about time I don't have to hear about how awesome the Cubs should be all season.

Back in 2007 I watched some playoff baseball, and to make it more fun I started to root for the Red Sox. After the World Series I decided they were my favorite baseball team. So here I am three years later and I've learned one thing. The Red Sox are not my favorite team, I don't even know if I have one, but I do have a least favorite team, the Cubs... it's on the same level that I hate Yankees, Lakers, Red Wings, University of Florida/Iowa football, and Duke/UNC basketball.

glad to see the reds fans coming out finally... one half year of success does that to some i guess?

We've always been here. We just get drowned out by all the whiny Cubs fans. If fans can only talk about their team when successful, we shouldn't ever be hearing from Cubs fans.

I've always been here and always will. I've been a Reds fan since I was born. If you see a white saturn rollin around DSM or Ames with ISU plates that read "CINCNTI", that's me.

Me in the summer of 1989 outside Riverfront.

The old Riverfront! That brought back memories of my own childhood. I've also been a Reds fan my whole life...glad to know there is someone else out there. 1990 World Series team...I'll never forget. They are having a tribute at Friday's game...some of the stars on the old 90's team are going to be there...wish I was going.

I've already told my best friend from back in Ohio that we are absolutely going to Cooperstown when Barry gets in! I wasn't old enough to really know what was going on in '90. Wish I was!

Where did you grow up?

I was just barely old enough to remember it. As sad as it may be I remember the old Kroger commercials with Marty and Joe they used to play during the breaks on TV. I grew up just north of Dayton. Still make it back home to at least 2-3 Reds games a year. Also nice to see Great American Ballpark fill up!

Hal Morris, Eric Davis, Tom Browning, Chris Sabo among others, with performances by MC Hammer! Really wish I could catch the game on Friday. I was a big Chris Sabo fan back in the day.

Nice, I lived southeast of Dayton, in Bellbrook. I was back for opening day this year. That would be awesome to be at the game to see the '90 players back!
