If there is ever a Hurricane Boxster I can assure you it will be Cat 6.
Won't they just throw out the Saffir-Simpson scale and call it Full Boxster?

currently 1000 calls in the 911 queue for rescue. Coast Guard and anyone with a boat called in.

Its crazy to look at the radar loops from Houston and just seeing wave after wave just coming and sitting over the city. And then watching the "predictor" forecast and seeing nothing but yellow and red radar sit over the area for hours on end.
Also, how accurate that seemingly unusual forecast was for it to do just as it seems to be doing. Science!

Why I didn't say it wouldn't't end up worse, just that it came ashore in a relatively remote area that wasn't as prone to flooding. For days forecasters have been saying the major impacts from the storm would come from the prolonged extreme rainfall. I was replying to those saying the storm was overhyped, which it obviously wasn't at cat 4 status.
the next thing to watch are the two dams that are 20 years past their 50 year lifespan. They made some improvements last year but there is a lot of concern about how they will handle a extended period of high saturation (earthen dams).
not great that they are having tornado warnings on top of flooded areas. Hard to go to the lowest level of a structure when the water level is rising.
