We're not clutching our pearls. We're just rolling our eyes at folks who post the obvious (that we should win a game where we're a 12.5 point favorite) and dismiss others who have concerns about a possible upset.

And yes, these kinds of upsets happen weekly.

Week 0:
Florida State was a 10.5 point favorite over Georgia Tech and lost at home.

Week 1:
Virginia Tech was a 13.5 point favorite over Vanderbilt and lost.

Week 2:
Florida State was a 16.5 favorite over Boston College and lost at home.

Week 3:
Notre Dame was a 28.5 point favorite over Northern Illinois and lost at home.

And for the record, I'm fairly confident ISU will beat Houston, but winning a conference game on the road is never easy regardless of the opponent, so I wouldn't be shocked if we have one of those awful nights where we end up beating ourselves.
Your original post said "far bigger upsets happen every weekened". Like I said it depends on your definition of "far" but in general that isn't true. And your own post disproved your original statement.

Idk but I got got distracted by the ads. CF needs to step up the ad game

You do understand, ads change depending on what your search and user history is.

If you search or visit a bunch of sites about dogs, your ads will be about pet stores etc. If you are searching and visiting womens clothing sites your ads are targeted at womens clothing stores. Its all about those cookies and user data your browser collects.

So in turn, what does this ad say...... :jlh:

Ah my friend, let me explain to you the concept of target based ads…
He buddy ol pal explain this, how I would see an ad for a strip club in Houston, Texas when I don't live in Texas and I have ad block on?

I mean no doubt I like the female form as much as the next guy but I don't think this is your typical google ad. I think it's more that the HOUSTON football forum manually put an ad for a Houston establishment that anyone would see regardless of the search history.

Now I feel like I'm being extra defensive... but I'm not ok!!

I'm not convinced you can take anything away from the OU result other than Oklahoma still has a lot of that signature Lincoln Riley softness to them, and they thought they could just show up and turn it on if and when they needed to. It's not something new IMO opinion out of OU.

Which makes the move to the SEC all the more dumb, but explainable given their front running arrogant attitude. They made a deal with the devil when they hired an offensive wizard that stripped them of their toughness, and they are a very long time removed from the OU defensive days. It's not fixed and the SEC is a terrible place to try and fix it on the go.
OU will probably do just fine in SEC, but they most likely will be #3 or 4 most of the time, or worse, instead of #1 -2 in conference, as in the Big 12.

I am OK with that. They chose their bed and now must sleep in it. The extra money will make their 'also-ran' status bearable, for the University. For the fans, this will not come easy.

It's a shame. You hate to see it. Cue appropriate GIF here. :)

I was pleased that we ran our offense all game against ASU. We tend to score big when the running game is going. I’m loving our rotation of RBs right now.

I have to wonder what kind of confidence UH has inside their locker room right now.
The running game still is my biggest offensive worry, so glad Jackson has emerged. Still don't think Abbu is an every down back yet, still has a lot of learning to do. Awesome potential though.

I doubt they will be top 3 or 4, like Nebraska they were slipping before leaving the Big 12.
