Not hiring a spread OC would set back our offense a century.

Re:***Offensive Coordinator Search Thread***

I think Fitch, kingsbury, Anderson, and frost all look like good candidates. My only question about frost and finch are their recruiting areas. Fitch seems to be Fla and Oregon seems to have their coaches recruit their positions, I guess that's what you do when you have an unlimited budget and national recruiting.

So much of recruiting is having those established connections in a region (usually). I worry about losing a coach with connections in Texas and not replacing him with someone who knows that area of the country.

Too bad Paul Petrino just went back to Arkansas, I would have liked him.

Kingsbury is overrated I'm telling you. All his success is due to Case Keenum just like all of Chizik's success was due to Cam Newton.

Kingsbury would be good. He likes to pass and could probably add some developement in Barnett and Richardsons passing games.

Re: ***Offensive Coordinator Search Thread***

the more i read about Canada from NIU the more I like.

My guess is the CPR promotes from with in(Messingham). Don't think this will be a big sexy hire at all. If it does come from with in I would want coach Messingham.

Maybe. I really think with as windy as JTS is, ISU needs to have a run-based spread offense. Something like Oregon or RichRod runs. You can get away throwing the ball 50+ times a game when it's 72 degrees and sunny in November in Texas. Not so much when there are gale-force winds in Jack Trice.

I highly doubt we promote from within.
