First off, there's no way Gene is getting the job over those other candidates.

But if Auburn could sell that to their fan base...Turner Gill. Has head coaching experience, is well respected and turned around a simply dreadful, awful Buffalo program.

Glen Mason- Did a good job at Minnesota
Turner Gill- Up and coming coach would prolly like a Big 12 job.
Dan McCarney- Nuff said

Glen Mason would be a good choice.

Turner Gill is too hot of a candidate -- he's going to have tons of opportunities this year or next year, hard to see him putting ISU at the top of the list.

McCarney is not likely to want to come back, especially if Pollard is here.

But it's pretty likely that Chizik will be back.

What I find extremely funny/ironic is that while your calling our coach a quitter/failure, you would be more than happy to take on a coach that is willing to quit their current team?:skeptical::skeptical:

Seriously, some of you out there need to realize that these sorta things are gonna happen...it's a sign that we might actually have a quality coach

Uh, there's a big difference - Buffalo was crap - absolute crap - when Gill got there, and he has totally turned it around, and beat Ball State in the MAC title game. Turner Gill would be leaving Buffalo with the program light years ahead of how he found it.
Gene would be leaving the program in total disarray.

No, seems like a lot of fans would rather feel sorry for themselves and have a coach that no one wants........
