Harrison Barnes...Visit this Weekend

As mature as this kid is and with his mother leadership, I find it very hard a decision has NOT been made. In my mind, HB and his mother know exactly where he is going and they are trying to prevent burning fences at this point with all of the programs of interest. They know they are in the spot light and have handled it amazingly well.

If they chose another school, I certianly wish him well. Those of you that will melt down, have already melted down for whatever reason, grab your bib, pull-ups and binky. :dull:

Regardless of what happens, I hope our fan base shows as much maturity as Harrison Barnes has shown.

Hopefully it is ISU!

Well as a fan I say we all go to Sports Page and pick up the #40 Ames High School basketball jerseys then. Everybody wear them to both the bbal game Friday night and football game Saturday.

But it doesn't hurt to show him a little love tomorrow night either. I swear, our fans try and act like this is all above us and we shouldn't do anything. We saw Harrison show up for games for the past several years and very rarely did anything happen.

Fans can do anything...Just can't be orginized by the University, Coaches, or Student organizers.

Was the reason the Duke officials removed all the Harrison/Duke signs because he was on an official visit there then? That wasn't university-organized.

...I highly recommend that our student coalition tries to top that. Need to make an "official visit preparation" thread.

Agree. Worst case scenario, you lose your sign. Best case scenario, you run around in a Speedo with your sign, so Harrison and all the world sees it.

I am pretty sure that nothing would happen if you did that unless:

1. Iowa State officials didn't try and remove it from you

or

2. Iowa State officials gave it to you to use

I remember reading that on his Duke visit, the students tried to make signs but the AD staff had to take the signs away due to potential recruiting violations.

Can't some enterprising person in the student section give everyone squares of paper that, together, make the letter "H" that then turns into a "B" (can't fully illustrate it here, but you know what I mean, right?)
