Harold Nichols Cyclone Open

I'm wondering that myself - some years we sent everybody but other years we didn't. There were no public wrestle offs this year so I'm hoping to see everyone there. Track won't release the registrations until later in the week but Nebraska, Northern Illinois, and UNI show it on their schedules and if I look in Track I also se entries (though I can't see who they are) from Minnesota, Navy, SDSU, Utah Valley, and Wisconsin. Midland and Grandview also are there plus ICCC so depending on who from all those schools show up there could be some decent brackets. I'd guess it will be mostly a handful of freshman and backups from those schools though, so I wouldn't get my hopes up.

This is the list of teams according to Track. Can't remember exactly where I read or heard it but I'm pretty confident Dresser recently said they would be using Harold Nichols for wrestle offs. Really hoping to see most of our guys in action against some decent competition but I'll just be happy to finally get to see some live wrestling. Watching youtube videos of our current guys and incoming recruits just isn't cutting it anymore!

And just in case somebody only reads this and didn't listen to KD's interview, none of the current injuries are believed to be serious. A week or two out of commission sounds like the current timeline.

It is exciting that the season is starting. Looking forward to the growth of the young team.
A good test to see where the guys are at. It would be nice to get some high places. For some it may show them how much better they need to get.

Some things that stood out to me:
- No cyclone entered at 125
- Dewitt is the only 149lber
- No Swalla at 174
- Bush at 184
- Coleman is the only true freshman in the Open Division
So, brackets don't list Vega, Marmolejo, Storr, Dante, along with Breitenbach, Gomez, and Degen, who we knew were dinged up. Pretty disappointing if I'm being honest.
Wrestle-offs at 133, 157, 184, and maybe even the HWT match will be interesting though. Just hoping for a better ISU contingent at Lindenwood.

According to the brackets, looks like DiBlassi and St. John both lost their first matches 9-4. Pretty disappointing as I considered those 2 probably front runners to 57 and 65.
