Between the relationship CMC has with JP, the latitude he's given and what I feel is mutual respect/love with the fanbase I just don't see CMC leaving for a place like Michigan. I only truly worry about Ohio St. There will be several years before we as ISU fans have to worry about that.

I mean, of all the possible openings, its surely up there compared to most others. Don't think he'd take it either, but it'd certainly be more concerning than most other openings.
If he was from literally ANY other place I would agree. It’s just not going to happen. CMC is a family man he wouldn’t betray his family like that and make their lives living hells in Ohio. There would not be an Ohio HS football coach that would let him anywhere near their top kids. He’s be a Judas. Just not happening in this day and age.
Can we stop this chatter about CMC and Michigan? It is the eve of the biggest bowl game in ISU history. We should be celebrating this year and this moment; let's not worry about the future just yet.

The only things I have ever seen are journalists speculating that Harbaugh may leave and if he does, here are the candidates the journalists feels would be a good fit. It's click bait. Anyone can write an article on potential new candidates, with absolutely no proof that the candidate is even interested in the job. But has anyone actually submitted evidence that CMC is actually interested in a potential opening at Michigan this offseason?
So let's just sit back, enjoy the bowl game, celebrate arguably the greatest season in ISU history. Until there is actual proof that CMC is interested in the Michigan job, let's put this story to bed.

Campbell won’t take that job but you are silly thinking Ohio kids won’t go to Michigan with the right coach. Michigan snags a ton of Ohio kids even with bad coaches. Get one with Ohio roots that already has friendships and he would be going head to head with Ohio state and getting players
I have heard from nearly double digit sources that CMC loves Ames and will be at ISU forever only stepping down after his 10th title.
I see no problem discussing it. Also it seems everyone also believes there is no chance of this happening.
lastly, pretty sure we can celebrate tomorrow and still have discussions about other things.
He didn’t say Ohio kids wouldn’t go to Michigan. He said Ohio high school coaches wouldn’t give what they would deem a traitor as much access to their kids.
And that’s totally wrong. High scoop coaches would not see him as a traitor. That’s just dumb if you know anything about recruiting. High school coaches have three star athletes that would suffer if they took that approach
The night before the biggest bowl game in ISU history is definitely not the time to have a discussion regarding rumors put forth by journalists with absolutely no credible information.
In related news, Saban is a candidate for the Michigan job, too. He is familiar with the state as he was a head coach at MSU, has great recruiting skills, boosters will LOVE him, and he’s ready for a new challenge.
See, anyone can start rumors with no credible information.
Thus isn’t the 90’s anymore. tOSU is light years ahead of Michigan right now. It’s like the same difference from ISU to Michigan.
People just need to realize that CMC will be here as long as he WANTS to be here..... and if he leaves it will NOT be because JP didn't do enough to keep him here.
The only reason I think CMC leaves is if his dream job becomes available or he accomplishes everything he's wanted to do here and needs another challenge. For me, it doesn't concern me at all because there's nothing I can do about it..... and like I said, JP will have done everything he can too..... so if CMC decides it's time to go..... he'll be gone and there's nothing that can be done about it.

I've been following several bloggers and writers that say CMC is firmly entrenched.....so I think we are safe.
1. I don't think CMC has a "dream job." I'm sure there are several schools that he would "take calls" from.
2. He and his wife have told their daughters' swim club friends and parents that they want to be here for several more years - because their kids love it so much. I sure would not bet money that Campbell leaves any time soon.
Hell yes those kids are at the top of the popularity food chain in Ames. Great stuff.
there are currently 13 players from Ohio on Michigan. So what the theory is is they won’t allow a traitor come down and get recruits but they like Harbaugh enough to get him recruits? Gotcha
