UofM is laying off and may take losses up to a Billion dollars - not good optics buying out Harbaugh and a new coach from their old school. Harbaugh may also get an extra year of eligibility due to Covid.

There were a ton of warning signs pertaining to Fred. There have been none with Matt.I remember similar statements being made about the Mayor.
I'm cautiously optimistic but I won't hold my breath.
Just curious. Just picking round numbers. Let’s say $8 million a year at Michigan for the next five yearsA “few million“ over the course of a contract I would agree with you. A few million per year of the contract would essentially double his pay. That would be hard to ignore.

Or $3.5 million a year at ISU for the next thirty.
How’s that math work out for total pay?

I knew we were on borrowed time after his "Napa trip."There were a ton of warning signs pertaining to Fred. There have been none with Matt.
Let’s see. The Mayor, who had always made his NBA dreams clear, versus Matt Campbell, who has made his admiration clear for guys like John Stiegelmeir at South Dakota State and Bill Snyder at K-State—or (especially) Larry Kehres, his own coach at Mount Union—who stayed in one place and established their own legacy.I remember similar statements being made about the Mayor.

Hmm. One of these things is not like the other.
CMC has also said that he’d hoped to build at Toledo what was built at Boise State—but Jamie convinced him he could do that in Ames.
Until something proves that Matt Campbell can’t build a program to a championship level at ISU, I don’t think we have to worry about him going anywhere. Resources, recruiting, whatever would have to fail.
And his plan seems to be working so far.
She likes AmesAnyone "in the know" have any ideas about Campbell's wife liking Ames? Or does she want out?
NY Post pushing for the Jets to hire Harbaugh
Campbell doesn't want any ol' job that is deemed flashy or in a "flashy" conference or at a school that is going to turn on you quickly if you don't win right away. Last year when Arkansas contacted Matt, he told people close to him that "I'd rather f***ing coach Grand View". Turned down Florida State, turned down a couple of NFL jobs. I'm guessing he sees Michigan and wants to stay as far away from that job as possible in its current state.
There were enough of them, all the same, my impression was the person doing it was doing so on purpose.Jesus **** you guys, fix the broken quote before you post.

Which States Are in the Midwest?
Here’s a somewhat regular argument I get in: Which states make up which regions of the United States? Some of these regions — the West Coast, Mountain States, …fivethirtyeight.com
Back to the discussion of the boundaries of the midwest...I've always felt that there are parts of Michigan and Ohio that are Midwest (Grand Rapids, Dayton, etc.) and parts that aren't (Detroit, Cleveland)
