Harbaugh

Don’t need to keep talking about the regional thing here. We nailed it down to end the conversation here:

Been following several UM writers and blogs over the last few weeks and I get the feeling most believe JH will not the back. This is all stemming from potential NFL openings, in particular NY and San Diego. If the right one comes open and their is mutual interest they believe he’s gone. Even though their 21 class is signed and recent Don Brown being let go, does not indicate a preference to coming back. Many believe the extension is done, just not signed and public, all while waiting for the NFL to wrap up tomorrow.

All this to say if JH goes to the NFL, many of those same writers/bloggers have CMC at the top of their list for UM to go all in for. Again, not shocking in the least. But the radio silence from JH for weeks and from their AD is odd.

Just sets up an interesting next week when the NFL wraps up and see what openings happens and or what comes out of Ann Arbor . Equally interesting if JP makes his move in some capacity next week, new deal offer, more years, money, etc.

My guess if we don’t hear anything publicly from the ISU front early next week, not sure that’s a good thing. Now that’s just my opinion, but after a year like this, JP has to offer CMC something. Technically he doesn’t, he’s got a contract, but out of any year this one should have something. Years past it was fairly quick after the last game, new deal, extended years, assistant salaries, etc. Hearing nothing may indicate CMC would be willing to listen to suitors (particularly UM).

Hopefully CMC wants to continue to build his program at ISU, but when a blue blood may be open, from a place he grew up near, it’s a major thing to watch.

I’m not sure why Harbaugh wouldn’t come back. He just got a MONSTER recruiting class signed, sealed and delivered. That kind of talent solves a lot of problems.

Monster recruiting classes hasn’t been his problem. Development, culture, not beating OSU has been.

A friend of a friend of mine just told me that 14 players from Michigan's 2021 recruiting class are going to opt-out of playing in the 2023 Duke's Mayo Bowl for concerns of their own health and they really don't give a **** about Michigan anyway.

Until they can get an actual stud QB and consistent RB at the same time, they aren’t going to get any better. Haven’t had a good QB in years.

I have never seen evidence that Campbell wants that job. In fact, I can see it being down his list when you consider how CMC does things. He would have NONE of the latitude in Ann Arbor that he gets from JP.

He’s not leaving for Michigan. It’s absolutely mind blowing that so many people have THAT as the job they’re worried about him going to.

I hope you are correct. But this is a story that could have a direct ISU connection whether we like it or not. I suppose I could’ve posted that same post at about 8pm tomorrow night, but it doesn’t change anything.

Well if it happens it happens, I will not worry about it because I dont control it. I would bet he doesn't go to UM even if it opens up.

yeah the fact Campbell has basically complete control of the program to run it how he sees fit is a big reason he will stay for a long time among other reasons.. all of those "resources" haven't done a hell of lot at some of the places people keep saying he is gone for.. we have a potential top 10 team to end the season to start next year as preseason top 10...... what does Michigan really have after going 2-4 with all those supposed "resources"

I’m pretty sure some posters here have a weird kink about getting turned on at the thought of Campbell leaving for literally any job.
