The whole family watched it and laughed. I doubt I'll remember this movie exists in a couple years, but it was fun. It's a good example of why I think comedies should always be 90 mins.

Zalatoris being the caddie kid from the first movie was the best joke of the movie.

Read over the wkd that Sandler had written a script before Carl Weathers died and when Carl died he had to rewrite the whole movie. I guess Chubs was a major character in the original script. Def a bummer, because I'd guess that was a MUCH better script than what we got.

I'm just bummed because this had so much potential yet Sandler went in about the worst direction with it. Also, shoe horning all his kids in it made it terrible.

I saw PFT on Pardon My Take said it was like 90 different Tik Toks spliced together and that's about the best explanation I can think of.

I enjoyed it well enough, but probably wouldn't need to watch it again. The ending was weird, but the cameos were entertaining. It was fine.

I will admit: I have never had a Netflix account. I went through the process of creating a login, password and paying the $8.55 monthly subscription to watch the movie this weekend. I (have already) went into my account and toggled the "do not automatically renew" switch. I, and everyone else in my house, enjoyed the movie. It's not going to win an award obviously. I might watch it again on an airplane if it is free, but wont pay for it. I enjoyed it and it was a nice way for me to sit on my couch with my wife and kids.

I do find it fascinating though on the financial fundamentals on it. Netflix got me to do this, voluntarily. I can not be the only one. This had to be a huge success for Netflix and Sandler.

He only has 2 kids. One played his daughter in the film and the other was the girl in AA with him, and they were far from the worst performances in the film. HIs wife was the dance teacher, too. But that's always been his thing since he got big. He takes care of friends and family as much as he can. There's a bunch of bit actors that would probably be long gone from Hollywood without Sandler.

Not exactly sure.

His mom was in it. Just mentioning, I have no issues with it as I see his films as not destined for cinematic awards but just dumb, funny, entertaining films.

His kids performances weren't the issue (although his wife is just a terrible actress). The issue is he had to write characters for them, so all the sudden we had a daughter that needed a dance school and an AA plot that went absolutely nowhere and added nothing to the story.

A story of Shooter still being the top dog and Happy leaving his job as a hockey coach to face Shooter one last time would of been a far better and more compelling story. And killing off Virginia...just why? Well, because he had to shoe horn his daughters story lines in there somehow. The guy cares more about getting his friends and family in a movie than the actual movie itself. Its just terrible.

It's possible you are doing more plot analysis for Happy Gilmore 2 than is necessary...

I thought his daughters did very well in their roles.

They had their own movie "You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah" on netflix which was pretty good too. I mean hes in it, but he isnt the star. Watched it with my daughter and thought it was a pretty good coming of age story.

Too many recycled jokes. I had low expectations for this movie and was still disappointed. Didn't like it at all. I give it a 3/10.

Some of Sandler's movies over the last 15 years have been decent and somewhat funny, but nowhere near what he used to do. Little Nicky is probably the last movie that I loved. The Grown Ups movies were ok, The Ridiculous 6 was ok, The Do-Over was ok.
