Sabonis is a very good player and a really a low risk guy to sign, but I agree if you were a GM in a small market you value the guy who might have the big play upside, a guy who could run the best offense in the league even if he isn't the #1 player in the league.

The more I think about it Tyrese's closest comp is probably Nash, they have different strengths and weaknesses but for both of them it's the relentless offense they run and the decisions they make, the awareness at all times. In my opinion that Suns team was a horrific disciplinary decision from having a title too, they were championship level.
Sabonis and Turner on the same team was not working. The belief was that the Pacers would trade Turner, but they brilliantly traded Sabonis for Haliburton. Turner and Tyrese have developed a great chemistry in the high screen and roll.

I suspect the stuff NBC does will be good, different but good whether this crew of legends is involved or not.

ESPN has never gotten it right since they got into NBA.
Pretty sure ESPN is going to carry Inside the NBA next year but it's going to be produced by TNT, and supposedly everyone is back. No way will those guys let ESPN tell them what to say.

Tyrese's run in this round of playoffs is legendary. What he's doing will be talked about for decades. Honestly, I can't remember a player doing what he's done with these clutch shots, and the degree of difficulty. Jordan had a couple, Bird..but we're talking some pretty good company. Insane. This is really good for ISU because Tyrese still really likes ISU.

LeBron in 07 when he dragged a team that would have won 20 games if you replaced him with even a borderline all star to the finals was the best I've seen in my lifetime. Don't remember the exact number but like 30 straight points to finish an ECF game.

TH, Yet anothe Cyclone 3* recruit.
LMFAO!!!!
Someone here with more time on their hands...
I'd appreciate a summary on our 4* failures, opposed to our 3* successes (endless).
Pretty sure, all our "kids" in the NBA-NFL are former 3*, other than Lazard.
Think Breece touched 4, but by a smidgen (source dependent).

Ps. Significant list of mostly low 4* failures.
Who can forget the 5* X Foster signing day here on the forums?
"Glory Hallelujah x's 100!" Yikes...

Pretty sure current players THT and Niang are 4 stars, at least by some of the recruiting services. Thomas had some time in the NBA and he was 4 star. Historically our highest drafted player Fizer was a McDonalds All American, admittedly a bust in the pros. Football players... hmmm. I seem to remember Leonard Johnson being a highly touted recruit under Chiz. Maybe he was 4 stars? Was KO highly rated?
