Groomsmen Gifts

I've had the booze mugs etc but some of the ones that were more memorable were cuff links. That way each groosmen wore a different set with their tux.

Other less extravagent but more economical was paying for the tux or hotel room the night of the wedding. Like I said not flshy but sure does help the wallet, especially if groomsmen are already paying for flying into town.

I think most of the items typically given are pretty gay. Who really needs more crap sitting around. A nice bottle of liquor you know they drink is good as its consumable. I got one guy that. The other two I gave a choice, pay for their tux (or a portion whatever $$ suits ya) or a gift. They both took the tux bucks. I did get them something very simple to go with it but nothing as damn goofy as monogrammed flasks...

I went and bought a bunch of glass beer mugs and then took them to an engraver and had the last name of each groomsman and usher engraved. You can get 12 mugs at places like World Market for like $20. I gave every groomsman and usher two mugs and it ended up costing something like $15 per person. Some of the guys still pull the mugs out of the freezer when I visit for a beer. Everyone liked the gift.

I know a lot of guys on here are married and I was just hoping for some suggestions on good gifts to give to my groomsmen. Obviously I don't want to spend a fortune but any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks

pay them whatever they want to keep you from getting to the church!

Paying for their tuxes is the best gift you can give as far as I'm concerned. Follow that up with dress socks for each of them in case they forgot their own.

Well I'm going to be the best man in my brother's wedding so maybe he will read this.

I would love to have my plane ticket paid for. :)

I got all my groomsmen and ushers flasks. I've never got one in return, but have got an engraved mug, a Texas fifth of Jack, Gift cards to several retaurants, and a framed picture of my own wedding at a wedding I was in a few weeks later.

Did many of you have your groomsmen pay for their tuxedos? I've never understood that. My wife just had to pay for her first bridesmaid dress this summer and she's been in 7 or 8? I was pissed when I found out how much it cost.

Groomsmen just want liquored up bridesmaids.
Good lord... the wedding I was a groomsman in 2 weeks ago was perfect for this. The girl I was "coupled" with was drunk and had a speech impediment so by the middle of the night she was impossible to understand. I just shook my head and laughed.
