Great Interview with Coach Campbell

I really think this is precisely what he meant.

Why must every thing be a controversy on CF?

Oh, I see the answer right there; it's CF.

It is not a controversy. Some posters here are dicks. Everything is bad. If some of these dicks had their way, we would be firing coaches left and right. And be paying out about $30 million in severance pay. And no coach in their right mind would even consider us.

IMO, Matt Campbell is a good solid hire. He seems like a really good fit. And he seems like he could be successful here.

IMO, CPR's biggest weaknesses were to the adjustments and the play calling on the field. The first few years seemed more focused. The last few years, CPR seemed to get caught up in the emotion and forgot to oversee and actually "coach" instead of cheering. That is the only way to explain the K-State loss.

i don't know that it was necessarily the cheering but I think he got in his own head too much and didn't trust himself to make the right decisions.

Perhaps he lost confidence in himself. And the loss of confidence filtered down through the team. Which would explain all the late game collapses.

Maybe the agent was handling negotiations and he didn't know the exact amount. He acknowledged that he knew it was a lot. But that it was not about the money.

Anything else you want to ***** about? Do you have anything positive to say?

Holy ******* ****** drama queen. Go through all of my posts and find me one other not positive thing I've said about him. It's all been positive. I've even said in this exact thread that I really like the hire and I like Campbell. If the worst thing I've said is that I think it sounded cheesy when he said that and you suddenly think I can't say anything positive about him, I'll be interested to see what you have to say about the people that are actually bashing him.

Rhoads effed up with his OC hire to replace Herman. That set the offense back multiple years and let to decision making issues the last few years.

Did anyone say otherwise? Its amazing how one post about something small in an interview got twisted into this.

no ****...here I was excited about the unification of our fan base through a new head coach and someone is bringing out the dicks...er...you know what I mean.

can't we all just get along until we realize firing CPR was a mistake? :jimlad:
