Much of the schedule is set up in preseason, at least for ESPN & ESPN2. Perhaps there's variance for ESPN3/U --- I didn't notice changes to that during the season.
I know two things are set in stone:
* Big Monday/Super Tuesday
* College GameDay (I watched the day they mapped that out in first week back in December(?))
It might be nice to have a little flex in the final month as far as Big Monday — although that could create headaches in scheduling for both schools. But there could be exceptions — which was a higher impact game this week, in regard to prominence of current season — Missouri @ OU or UT @ A&M?
For programs like Iowa State, that's a bit annoying, because of inconsistency. A season or two when we're better than expected, but little TV time; then we get more games for a couple of years, and those teams are average. :sad:
I can understand GameDay being established in advance. Those are going to be planned so they involve (1) traditional rivalries between perennial powerhouses; (2) anticipated conference-title races (3) both 1 & 2.
I don't understand this. College football gameday is decided the Sunday before. That way it is always (or usually) at a really good, important game. Having said that, you can usually pick the games ahead of time. But do you think they really wanted to go to Louisville at Pitt? That game looked much better pre-season then it was at the time.
Sounds like **** Vitale may be coming to our house.

When I said I could understand it being set in advance, I also thought about football Gameday, and wondered why it can change but MBB doesn't. Not so much "why" CFB requires more adaptability as far as premiere weekly matchup, but logistic reasons.
Let's lock the doors, turn off all the lights and hide. Maybe he'll think we're not home and go away.
