Is it just me or is ISU playing more often on ESPN this season? I seem to remember in past years, most games were only available on CTN, sans KU and Texas type games.

Agreed. At least 3-4 games have been shifted to the mothership. Obviously win you are winning, everything falls in line.

Has nothing to do with winning. All of these were on those channels before the season started.

I was gonna say, i thought most of these were pre-scheduled.

Seems like espn just picked up more b12 games this year. Or maybe its the same number of games but because we have 10 teams more games get covered. Does seem like ESPNU has more big 12 this year though. Hopefully by next year mediacom should have espnu in HD.

They do now, at least in Cedar Rapids. Hopefully they stop slacking in your area soon.

Yes I noticed the same thing. We've had a lot of games on the ESPN channels (except the Ocho). I assume ESPN is just gearing up to back up the truck. I have no problem with that, I love the games in HD, as opposed to the Full Court which I paid for which is not.

Yeah, i believe it should be done shortly after they go all-digital here, i think theyve already done that transition in CR. Sometime this spring i'd guess, too late for basketball season but should be good for next year.

Much of the schedule is set up in preseason, at least for ESPN & ESPN2. Perhaps there's variance for ESPN3/U --- I didn't notice changes to that during the season.

I know two things are set in stone:
* Big Monday/Super Tuesday
* College GameDay (I watched the day they mapped that out in first week back in December(?))

It might be nice to have a little flex in the final month as far as Big Monday — although that could create headaches in scheduling for both schools. But there could be exceptions — which was a higher impact game this week, in regard to prominence of current season — Missouri @ OU or UT @ A&M?

For programs like Iowa State, that's a bit annoying, because of inconsistency. A season or two when we're better than expected, but little TV time; then we get more games for a couple of years, and those teams are average. :sad:

I can understand GameDay being established in advance. Those are going to be planned so they involve (1) traditional rivalries between perennial powerhouses; (2) anticipated conference-title races (3) both 1 & 2.

No games against perennial bottom dwellars colorado and nebraska helps too.
