Gameday Thread--ISU vs. Texas

This is what I call a good loss. Of course we never like to lose but we learned a lot today from this team. One thing we can always count on is great effort on the defensive side of the ball. Rebounding is a another story. If it wasn't for all of those 2nd chance points for Texas, this game is a lot closer.

I also think we have found our future at center. Hamilton is going to be a special player for this team and I for one can't wait to see how his progresses.

DG isnt our problem, neither are the refs.. Our problem is.. Say it with me everyone, "INEXPERIENCE" we are a YOUNG team that will make alota stupid plays, turn it over and commit dumb fouls. They are all learning and for this team to play as well as they did on the road vs a Very tough team is a stepping stone and a sign of things to come. Lets get real and stop trying to mask our teams youth by blaming it on the refs or one or two players on our team. Everyone struggled today, the more experienced and talented team one today. Move on to Nebraska...

good game by looking at the score but i really feel like we couldve won the game with some better defensive rebounding. But i do think we played a good game we didnt let them get any very big runs going. and whenever they had a 8-0 9-0 run we came right back with a 5-0 6-0 run to keep it close.

I'm not going there. I love DGs play. I'm just waiting for him to develop that ability to finish. At that point, we're really dangerous.

I would agree snowcraig DG was under alot of pressure today. I was encouraged by the way we finished the game.. We could of let the margin go to 20 pts. really easy. We game Texas a game today, now we need to bring the same intensity Wed. against Nebraske.

perception is everything. I really liked the broadcast and thought the announcers were very complimentary to ISU. They seemed to rally like this team and the future for ISU. Said many nice things about DG, Ham and Brackens. I really think we are very close to having a very good team. And I don't even like Kool-Aid.

Thats because Petey can't dribble penatrate. Do you ever see drive to hoop with authority like DG does? I never have. All Petey does is dribble to the corner and gets stuck. He is a decent backup PG but he is nothing more than that.

Better than turnovers... Pety actually sets up the offense instead of thinking he can score everytime he drives to the basket.
