Friday OT: Friday Confusings

Walking or running in the street.

We have perfectly good sidewalks. Even. Maintained.

But this neighborhood wants to be in the road and play in traffic even with the sidewalk available.

I don't get it. I also don't get why outlets are horizontal here either.
Every morning this couple runs side by side, several feet apart, on the street in our subdivision. They also run on the right side of the road, airpods in, with their backs to traffic, and right into the morning sun.

They are practically begging to inspect my undercarriage.

undercarriage? go to 1minute in.

This morning, I could hear a guy finishing a dump at work in the bathroom and walked out without washing his hands. I think that qualifies.
I used to sit right by the bathroom at work. One guy would go in there two and three times a day to take a dump and each time, he would use endless amounts of toilet paper. I know this because I could hear it each time he took some off the roll. I stopped counting at 20 one time. But this happened at a minimum of three times a day. This was a healthy looking 20-something guy. He must have had one of those gastrointestinal diseases like diverticulitis or something, but that still doesn't explain his excessive, almost obsessive use of toilet paper.

If he had a colorectal issue, he might of needed it to clean up the damage. Might not of been a big train coming through, more like a runny egg, mudslide situation.

This or people that ride a bike on a busy street or highway when there is a perfectly good bike trail or wide sidewalk right next to it they could be using. Yelled at a guy last week that was riding a bike on a busy 40 MPH 2 lane street/road that goes out of town that had a nice bike trail that goes the length of this road. When I finally got a chance to pass rolled my window down pointed and yelled "there litterally is a bike path right there you could be using!" Guy looked at me but didn't react. Probably one of those a-holes that just wants to ride in the street just to piss people off.

People who wear a mask while in a vehicle by themselves.
A friend of mine has an 89 year old father who does this while waiting in the car on trips to Des Moines to take him to various doctor appointments. He’s on dialysis and has oxygen if he moves around much. Once he gets glasses and hearing aids and oxygen and mask all functional, he’s not doing it again.

People that talk on their phone while in the bathroom. Have litterally heard someone have a conversation while taking a dump or holding the the phone with one hand and taking a piss with the other. You don't think whoever you are talking to can't hear the toilets when they flush or the plop or the piss hitting the water? If I heard that when talking to someone I'd probably call them out on it.

Don't see it often now but people that wear masks while driving by themselves in a car always seemed awkward. Looking back I never quite understood the point of wearing one outdoors either during COVID. I still remember how we had to wear one to go to games in 2020 when only 15k was allow into Jack Trice for FB games and they spaced us all out that we weren't anywhere near someone unless we came with them and just feeling that was a bit overkill too.

And last people that litter. Cigarette butts especially annoy the hell out of me because people just fling those out of their car window or onto the sidewalk when they are done with them. They can take up to 10 years to decompose and also can be harmful to animals if consumed or contaminates their water source and is just another lazy habit some people have.

Regarding litter after realizing what eventually happens to balloons that get released to honor someone I now cringe when I hear that being done.

There's got to be a better way you can honor someone that doesn't harm the environment like that.

Why women get their nails done. My wife has explained it dozens of times and I still don't understand. Fingernails are pretty close to last when it comes to noticing a woman.
They are one step above toenails.

Also, are there any men who like those pointy fingernails like Richardson the 100meter sprinter for USA has?

Women dress and primp for other women, to establish dominance.

To get a man's attention requires a vanishingly small amount of effort. Which prob doesnt say a lot for men, lol.

Camping in the left lane on the interstate.

I go into my office once a week, and it's the same drive down I-35 every week. A line of seven cars, basically bumper to bumper, in the left lane all trying to get around one car doing 68 in the right line at the same time. All the while the right lane is basically wide open except for the one said car.

Those who camp in the left lane are actually slowing up traffic more than the one car in the slow lane driving below the limit.
