Friday OT: Friday Confusings

People who talk on the phone when someone is getting something at a check out lane. Drives me nuts its rude as hell.
This morning, I could hear a guy finishing a dump at work in the bathroom and walked out without washing his hands. I think that qualifies.
I understand why it happens--people have a terrible need for attention--but still hate it.
--Using speaker mode on phones in public when it's obviously not needed.
--streamers/influencers that do nothing but harass or bother people for clicks.

Somehow my wife’s phone is always on 11. She can watch something, then turn it down, at the end of course and a minute later it will be blasting another Snapchat thing she’s watching.
Talking during a concert/play/movie that they paid to see.
Sitting in their car with the engine running (and it's not extremely hot or cold outside).

Everything with the WalMart area for self-check.
Mainly when people are being normal and nice (me) and have a line as waiting for the 4 or 5 check opens (that have huge carts), and then people notice you in a list and they just cut and go right behind someone first like "not sure what you're doing there just hang out, but I'll just go right here now'.

I will forever judge people that can't put their ******* cart back into the corral in the grocery store parking lot.
Talking on the phone in a car and holding it horizontal so I guess the mic picks them up better. I'm presuming they are on speaker and don't realize they can just put the phone down and it will still pick them up.
Being really focused on a problem at work and getting a teams message of 'Hi ISUfrEEk'. Now I have to reply Hi and wait for them to type up their question or problem. Just type the f'n question or problem in the first place. Then I can decide if its worth responding to right then or not.
People that talk on their phone while in the bathroom. Have litterally heard someone have a conversation while taking a dump or holding the the phone with one hand and taking a piss with the other. You don't think whoever you are talking to can't hear the toilets when they flush or the plop or the piss hitting the water? If I heard that when talking to someone I'd probably call them out on it.
Don't see it often now but people that wear masks while driving by themselves in a car always seemed awkward. Looking back I never quite understood the point of wearing one outdoors either during COVID. I still remember how we had to wear one to go to games in 2020 when only 15k was allow into Jack Trice for FB games and they spaced us all out that we weren't anywhere near someone unless we came with them and just feeling that was a bit overkill too.
And last people that litter. Cigarette butts especially annoy the hell out of me because people just fling those out of their car window or onto the sidewalk when they are done with them. They can take up to 10 years to decompose and also can be harmful to animals if consumed or contaminates their water source and is just another lazy habit some people have.

My daughter was the hand-washing police when she was little. When she was about 4, I took her into a bathroom at Target. The guy in the stall next to us flushed, left the stall, walked past the sinks, past our stall and towards the door. Before he made it all of the bathroom. My daughter turned to me with this mortified look on her face and basically shouted, "HE JUST POOPED AND DIDN'T WASH HIS HANDS! HE'S GONNA HAVE POOP HANDS!"
The bathroom echo effect only added to her proclamation, causing several other guys in the restroom to laugh.
She later saw the guy near the electronics section, and it was everything I could do to keep her from pointing and making a scene.
Walking or running in the street.
We have perfectly good sidewalks. Even. Maintained.
But this neighborhood wants to be in the road and play in traffic even with the sidewalk available.
I don't get it. I also don't get why outlets are horizontal here either.

People trying to park as close to the grocery store doors as possible when it's smarter to park close to a cart corral.
Similar - but people who hold their phone horizontal in a car that HAS BLUETOOTH. Put the GD phone down and use the features of your vehicle.
People hammering it and cutting you off so they can get to the red light faster.
I have a few:
- People at the gym using a machine and being on their phones between sets. If you need to be on your phone, get off the machine so others can use it.
- Sorry ladies.....in line anywhere waiting for you to put your wallet/credit card (among other items) back in your purse before you finally move on. This is especially annoying in drive-thrus.
- Light turns green... person in front of you does not go because you are on your fukin' phone!
- Throwing your cigarette butts out the window when driving.
The dumb mother ******* that plaster their car registration stickers all over the license plate.
Those folks don't realize they're using their brakes more and likely gas mileage with so much slowing down and accelerating.
So in the long run they're costing themselves.
Revenge is sweet.
Sidewalk grooves still can get uneven and be a tripping hazard.
I used to run on the street on the near east side of Madison a long while ago but they were not busy streets and the sidewalks were in rough shape and made it harder for drivers to see me and vice versa vs. the longer angle of the street.
But if there was lots of traffic I'd go sidewalk or another route.
