I'm going to say, based on how overwhelmingly smug KU fans are, that he was understating on purpose.

Maybe he could have put "a little" in quotes or italics to drive it home.

Someone pick up his tab at Hickory Park for this one....Fran loves ISU. This is a guy who has coached and called bball games all over the world and he recognizes what a special place ISU/Hilton are, that just eats KU fans up.
