Fined $25,000

Where does it say it is $100,000 next time? There is NO Big 12 bylaw that states that schools can be fined for storming the field. SEC yes however but we are not in the SEC. What a coward move by Bowlsby giving into crying Dana. Even WVU fans commenting on the Big 12's tweet and Brett McMurphy's tweet are saying this fine and reprimand is petty.
Where does it say $25,000 this time? The point is if you receive a punishment (warranted or not) and do nothing about it they are going to up the ante until you get the point.

I liked Pollard's response. Eff you, Bowlsby.

Exactly. There has been zero precedence prohibiting field storming. Even if the Big 12 put out a memo discouraging field storming for player safety would have sufficed but, as always, ISU is where the example is set. Screw Bowlsby and good for Pollard and President Wintersteen for fighting this. I doubt it gets anywhere if the Big 12 hears the appeal but it is worth it to show ISU isn't going to bend over and take it.

This wasn't even remotely like the fiasco in the Polygon of Mild Discomfort where we got those great images of Weber and Self.

Next week each of the ~50,000 ISU fans arriving at JTS puts 50 cents into a jar (trash cans? dumpsters? someone calculate the volume needed to hold 100,000 quarters/5 gates=20,000 quarters/gate) at each gate.

Did any single WV player or coach get injured in any way from the field rush? I haven't heard of any? If not, then on what grounds was it considered "not safe"?

Was WV fined last year for their fans trying to blind our kicker with lasers? I'm seriously asking because I don't remember?

The only issues i've seen reported were issues involving WVU players\staff being the instigators.

There are many ways that ISU can make Bowlsby look stupid in this. One is being proactive and honor the fine but do it by donating to a good cause, food bank, women’s shelter, etc. since there is no protocol for a fine like this. It would force Bowlsbys hand to drop it or look like a giant douche. Either way he ends up looking powerless or enter a PR nightmare, both would end up being bad for him.

The amount of the fine should tell everyone what a joke this was. $25,000 is nothing. It's basically saying.... "we don't think you did anything wrong, but since they're whining about it we felt we had to do SOMETHING.".

Did Holgerson bring this up in the press conference, or did a reporter get him started?

CW on cyclone insiders just made it sound like Randy (of course) brought it up
