The big 12 conference apparently publicly reprimanded iowa state and issued a $25,000 fine. Not for storming the field, but for not keeping players safe in the process. I have watched it many times and cannot see where they came to this conclusion.

Iowa State is appealing this decision.

It's really not that big of a fine but the appeal is on the principle and not giving into Holgerson. BTW LSU was fined $100,000 but they have a stricter policy.

$25,000 is probably less than ISU spent cleaning up the field afterwords. I suspect that they will appeal not over the amount, but over the precedent it might establish.
