"Fans" booing our own team

I don't typically boo, and I don't think I've ever booed our team, but I don't know why you'd need to have been a coach or a player to have the right to boo.

That is like the time I stormed my kitchen after the Iowa Win. I felt bad afterwards.
Sometimes during basketball games I will watch the last two minutes of the game standing on the staircase so I can get up to bed faster.

It is sad how big of losers so many of our fans are. This whole "be nice the team is doing the best they can and the schedule is hard" crap is terribly old.

This loser thread ranks right up there with the "honor before victory" after we got pasted by an FCS team week 1.

I know you were booing the play called but the players only hear the boos.

What credentials do you have to warrant the right to be criticizing what is happening? Were you a former college player, coach, or what?

I'm guessing you are one of those that know everything about everything and you are never wrong.

And I find you to be very inconsiderate of those sitting around you. People are not leaving the game early, they are looking for seats away from you.
Why shouldn't people boo kneeling when down 4 td at halftime and basically telling the fan base we aren't trying to win

I didn't boo at the end of the half, but I sure as heck didn't have a problem with it. We are down 28-7 largely in part to some catastrophic mistakes. We had shown earlier in a drive we can move the ball and put points on the board. We have 49 seconds and not a terribly long way from a touchdown or even a field goal. ALSO, we knew we were getting the ball next half. So potentially we could have gotten it to 28-21 before Baylor even got the ball back. Yet in that instance we pack it in hoping for a second half miracle? How many times are we deflated when another team gets a last second first half touchdown? We could have been on the other side of that.

Almost inexcusable to me.

Edit - my mistake we were down 35-7, but the point remains.

OK. But am I allowed to cheer? or do I have to be a former college player, coach or what to cheer?

This is really stupid. We suck right now and the play calling was ****. If we want to boo we can. I paid for my tickets and my donation so that gives me the right to boo all I want.

GET OVER IT>>>>>

Would you have booed had you realized it was 35-7 at half?

I save my booing for refs, since they are not actually people. I still don't have a problem booing that weak play call.

The idea that there are qualifications for booing or opinions is something that can't possibly go wrong on the Internet.

I don't know if the boos have any effect on players morale or recruits views of the school and its fans, but by the fact that they might it's just not worth it to boo.

Neither did I, but there were a few around us that did...and I'm with Sparkplug on this one.

Class-less move to boo your team (coaches, play calling, or players). I'd prefer that Cyclone fans not be "that guy".

That's rich. You're calling someone else classless. Did you even read what you wrote to Stewo?

While I do think most oiled up fans in the stands couldn't describe most of the action on the field I hate the OP's post

Personally I won't boo a non paid player representing my school. But setting criteria? BS post

I wonder how many of the players were (silently) booing heading off the field after that sad display in confidence by the coaches to end the half....

I'd bet many were ticked and not because of the booing.
