FAB MELO

Syracuse was 2-1 without Melo earlier this year.

They would have been 1-2, but was bailed out by a non goaltending call that gave them a win against WVU.

I opened my mouth about him being suspended and now there is a mass bracket recall at work.

Lol.

I have them losing to KState anyway. They are 128th in rebounding and now their leading rebounder is out. Pair that with kstate bigs I think its worth an upset consideration.

Plus I hate the east.

I had them losing to K-State, anyway. The wildcats have to be happy about this. Dang, I wish we would have got their draw.

I still don't understand why we didn't get their draw. We were seeded higher on the NCAA s curve #31 versus #36 yet we get matched against the #1 seeded team while they get matched against the #3 seeded team.

We also get the benefit of playing a #9 seed that is ranked #26 by the NCAA on their s curve while KSU gets Southern Miss that is ranked #52 on the NCAA s curve.

I would definitely love to hear the politics behind this seeding. I guess finishing two games a head of KSU in the conference and beating them twice didn't count for anything.

I also had K State beating them before this news. The K-State model can be very disruptive especially with so little time to prepare.

I also had to laugh at the poster who smugly said they don't turn in their brackets until Thursday, after 4 games are played.

In all the pools I'm in, you don't have to fill out your bracket until 11:00 on Thursday. (Yahoo!, ESPN, office)

Since when do you have to turn in your bracket before the play in games? You don't. Not sure why some of you are saying you have to.

Good call. Crap, ISU got screwed in comparison.

The seeding of ISU and KSU definitely doesn't add up. Clearly KSU drew the easier 8 seed despite finishing two games behind ISU and losing twice to ISU. It is hard to imagine that there weren't some back room politics at play.
