Explosions at Boston Marathon

Do you think the Centennial Olympic Park Bombing and the Boston Marathon are linked?

I think he's missing some punctuation, but I'm percolating, that much I know.

So he wrote a horribly disfigured, broken, run-on sentence, with no subject or predicate (or really any semblance of structure whatsoever), just to accuse you of engaging in Brownian motion?

Kind of off topic, but what news agencies do people believe to be the most credible? I used to prefer CNN, but obviously not anymore. For business related news, I usually tune in to CNBC and haven't seen much to doubt them.

Yeah, 12 year olds regularly stand around by themselves outside of a bar at major sporting events.

Not a criticism of the girl at all and it just may be her jacket, but she looks a little straight through the middle to be much older. And she just may be too cool to stand very close to her parents, brother, etc.

Thanks to Will McAvoy, Atlantis Cable News is pretty much the only news source that I would call reputable anymore.

Kind of sad, but I get a lot of news from Comedy Central, Daily and Colbert. Breaking news, someone like Bloomberg online.

CNN is really embarrassing itself with this story. They had to retract their earlier report that an arrest had been made. Is it really too much to ask that they verify their sources before they run with the story?

I go to CF for all my news, just as credible as anywhere.

Guessing that place will be on lockdown when suspect is brought in. Probably was flooded with press/public when false news reports broke on an arrest.

Or it could be cleared of non-essential staff and reporters before the suspect is brought in.

Welcome to the new "media." Throw out something to be the first and hope it's right. That is the drawback to our new culture...great to get news real time (instead of waiting for the 6pm news), but rumors/unconfirmed things spread quick! You used to be able to comfortably pass along info from a "news source." But not now!

I was thinking about this idea the other day. Journalists used to be trained/vetted via college/professional standards. Now, someone like me, can have a blog, iPhone, etc and can have a "report" without conforming to any journalistic standards.

Watching CNN's website today you know they and many other media outlets want one thing, ratings. They report without backing up sources just so they can be the first to report "breaking" news.
I am a teacher and I teach my students, when researching, to back up everything with credible sources. If a bunch of 12 and 13 year olds can do that you would think CNN could also.
