LOL I've been crossing there for 30 years for our fishing trip. Still reeks, but used to it now haha.

Two things:
-the smell of cigarettes and coffee wafting up from my grandparents kitchen into the bedroom we’d stay in
-the way my parents coats would smell like frying grease and cigarettes on winter Sundays after they’d been to the bar on Saturday

Mine is Rainbow Bridge. Have family about an hour south of there so we visited the falls almost every year when I was a kid. The smell/taste would be eating Coffee Crisp candy bars on the way home that you could only get in Canada.
Wausau, WI area has the same thing. Just north of there is when the north woods starts but going through there first is kind of a buzz kill.
You cant mention Charter Oak without a Staley’s fried chicken shout out.
