I like how he brings up that Washington should have been in the Title game, ignoring that their Covid outbreak is what cancelled the de facto P12 North title game between Oregon and Washington for the right to take on USC.
The whole thing is full of pot-shots about why neither team deserves to be in the Fiesta.
Bowl games are all about celebrating a team's season and rewarding their hard work. I wonder if this writer ever befriended an actual athlete while he was in school?

Coastal only beat Kansas by 15 and we beat them by 30. I thought the transitive property is infallible in ranking college football teams?
It's good he's a volunteer blogger because I wouldn't pay him, either.
Unfortunately, what so many of the ESPN writers bias against ISU and the Big 12 in general means, is next year we have to hope to start the year in the top 10 and then win all of our games, because any loss will be a reason to keep us out and tell us how undeserving we are to play in the CFP.
But the thing is, these clowns writing garbage from their studio apartments doesn’t matter. They didn’t influence the CFP.
What was hilarious was when he put a top ten best stadium environments in the Big 12 and he had ISU near last. WRNL roasted him good asking how do you know where ISU ranks if you have never even been here. They even offered him all expenses paid trip for him to cover a game in Ames. Of course he still wouldn’t do it.
ESPN has been trash literally for decades. They are functionally no different from cable news in that their goal is to get clicks for advertising dollars and subscribers. They have some good content behind the paywall (ESPN+) though their app is garbage and makes that content hard to find. Stats and streaming is all they have to offer.
That guy always seems like a lazy, asshat sucking off the OU/UT teet.
ESPN and that douche bag can guess my cardinal and gold ass. I agree with others, I won't be clicking anymore of their trash articles.
As someone else said, it was just bizarre to inject all of that butthurt into a game preview article. Big fail from the writer and his editors (if he had one on this).
