DP Show's Seton gushes about ISU

Yeah, he should go. DM is a different cat though. I wouldn't be shocked if he wanted to see this thing through, especially if everyone else came back and they could make a playoff run. That has to be a different decision than if you're at OU or something. What that would mean is just so much more.

I am familiar with all of that..... TD is the #1 back in ISU history... DM is trending to take that over. As I think DM is a better back.

but what makes the best back in ISU history? Their rushing stats, or draft location, talent, NFL career?

There is no slight of Troy Davis in arguing that DM might be the best RB in ISU history! So many variables in that debate...one of the reasons people enjoy those types of arguments!

Would be bittersweet but he's one that should go earn money ASAP and deserves every penny of it.

There should someday be a DM award for someone in the program that lives up to his character and leadership.

You know they're being sarcastic, right? Seton was joking around to excuse WVU getting pounded by an unranked team and they're making fun of Fritzy's Broncos.

They pretty regularly have ISU gear in the mancave, but they're being hyperbolic making fun of each other's teams

To the point I'm begging him to get down on certain plays. I'm always worried about a fumble or someone getting in a cheap shot when he's stood up like that. Guy is a beast.

Best statistically, no doubt. Best talent? DM might have him there, especially when you consider pro potential.

Troy Davis was fantastic at what he did. Teams knew we were going to run it and he still got yards. But he had a ridiculous amount of carries to get those yards. For reference, in those two 2000 yard season, TD had 345 and 402 carries, and that was in only 11 games. Last year DM only had 258 carries in 13 games played.

DMs per play average is lower than TDs was, but we also want him to be able to play in the NFL for more than a few seasons before getting hurt. Teams don't use RBs like they used to anymore.

My hope is Mitchell plays the entire 4th quarter against Incarnate Word. I doubt we see him take any snaps against the remaining B12 competition.

Luckily for DM he'll only be turning 22 next year, so if he stays next year he'd be 23 at the start of his first NFL season. That's not too bad. Teams want their RBs young, with less miles on their tires. If he had redshirted and was an old Senior to begin with, that would have hurt his future earnings. RBs need to get that rookie deal played through as quickly as possible so they can get their one BIG deal before they are 30.
