Donovan Davis announced on May 6th that he committed to the Cyclones!!!

@FinalFourCy good point re: five to play five.

You'd kind of have a logjam at that point, though, if it happens.

Up to 15 returning men (including Prather, Bond, Manning, and Buchanan) plus two freshmen.

Obviously it will work out in the end, but a few things would need to change.
Excuse me?

We beat out an Elite 8 program for him!
Their level of coping with this one on X is top notch:
-We have better players at that spot already (Koch, Sage, Thompson- who hasn’t even played yet but somehow they know he’s better)
-Iowa State was on him two years ago- BM just offered in the last few months so he did a good job to get into his final 5 (where have seen that rationale from Hawk fans before?)
-BM is now 1-1 in head to head recruiting vs. TJ (I assume they mean Coon although ISU spent about 5 minutes recruiting him)
I mean, they had to see the DD to ISU thing coming so they had time to get their best material ready.

Freedom High School looks like it is in the middle of nowhere . . . until you use scale and realize it is only 10 miles from downtown Appleton and 15 miles from downtown Green Bay. Probably a couple of miles from edges of those cities.

I can't get a screen shot to work but the satellite image looks like it's pretty rural or at least not all that developed.

That general section of WI is not exactly an interesting drive compared to like the driftless area, north woods, Lake Michigan etc.

I imagine they'll transition him to more of a 3/SF. He'll get killed in the Big XII playing on the block at 200lbs.
I’d imagine he won’t be 200lbs then. He looks like he has the build to be 225+ while still being slender

He’s certainly not going to be big PF unless he grows more. I can see why the Ejim comparisons are made. A small-ball 4, although perhaps a wing as well, if he can defend Big 12 perimeter wings

I'm just blown away by the maturity of players like Donovan. When I think of myself at that age, it scares me to imagine what I'd be like in that kind of spotlight. Couldn't hold a candle to that young man.

I can tell Donovan is going to represent Iowa State incredibly well off the basketball court as well as on it. No wonder TJ is excited.

My son's girlfriend is from there and went to Freedom HS. It is pretty small and rural and very white. But, yes, close to the "big city", Appleton.

F the crap stained suckeyes and their HC Bennie McDouche … not a recruiter , he’s just following TJ around and offering same players ! He’s a douche idiot ! Just like the fanbase !
