Different Guy at QB?

It seems to me that AA probably does very well in practice, with little pressure, but has developed a major "head" problem in game situations. If he hits his first 2 or 3 throws, he seems to go on to have a pretty good game, but if he misses on the first one, he panics and completely loses confidence. Don't know if there is a cure for this. We have been watching the same AA for 3 years now, and if anything he has regressed.

Started the game very rough against Texas Tech. Didn't seem to impact him.

I wonder if that TT defender would have hung onto to his gift, if it would have gone differently? Past games indicate it could have, but he was lights out after that. Maybe it scared him straight?

We need play makers
Who doesn't? We honestly don't know what we have because we are very limited on what we do as an offense because of our poor line and QB play.

I know we don't have guys like the ones I mentioned because they would show-up on special teams if they were that special.

You get a guy like that every thing opens up plus KO and PR become a huge weapon.
Keep an eye on Jarvis West next year in the return game!

I hope your right!

I am wondering what people think ISU's record would be if we had ANY of the QB's that start for the teams we lost to.

My opinion is this....

Stanzi(15th in BCS)... Same
Coffman(5-1)...Same
Wynn(10th in BCS)...MAYBE we beat KSU
Jones(1st in BCS)...MAYBE we beat KSU

I do not blame it all on the qb's any qb that has time to sit in pocket and look over field and make the throw and not scramble on every play will do good!!! Face it, if you go back to the OU game and look, AA & JT where fighting for there life on every play just to get the ball out!!! We need to improve the line big time!!!! OU QB had all day to pick us apart!!!

No, they're 3rd and 8 (my bad) because of our 1.8 yard per carry average, which given our talent at RB is on the O-line.

I would agree that the offense hasn't helped the defense much, but our offense would have to score 50 points a game to have been in the last couple. That's unrealistic.

Actually, I will make that old stat argument again. If the offense does more, the defense can do less with better results.

If offense does nothing (189 yards), defense allows 52 points.

If offense gains 325 yards and scores two TDs, defense might do better with less plays and give up only 38 points. Then the fake score 38-14 sounds a lot better than 52-0 thrashing/debacle.

Rarely is an offense held to 189 yards, much less a BCS offense. If you cannot get 250 yards offense, you had a craop day usually. If you get eight turnovers at an equivalent 35 yards a pop, suddenly you can win 9-7.
