Thanks for the good info. Looking at your chart, the holes in the OL and DL pipelines are painfully obvious. Hopefully the staff can fill those in with next year's class.

I never like to see a Cyclone leave, but if they aren't willing to work harder or win more, it's best that they leave. Hope they always remain a Cyclone at heart.
It should be said also that there have been a lot of walk-on additions since CMC arrived too.
I'd like to know how this drug testing business went down. Did the staff come right away and say, "Hey, February 1st, we're testing, and you better not test positive." Or did they come in on the 1st of February and test with no warning that a failed test was the boot automatically. Yeah, they shouldn't be doing drugs anyway, however, if it's pot, at least give them a warning shot first.
We haven't added that many considering numbers there weren't great and we needed to replace a whole 3 deep at one safety spot.

I could see a guy like Vic Holmes or DeMonte Ruth leaving or a RsFr like Stephon Brown. These guys see a lot of newcomers and could think there wouldn't be much PT for them. And they could all still go to a JUCO school as well.
Only one I can empathise with is the too business like attitude. Would be hard to like a guy that came in and gave you talking points, instead of trying to connect with you on a more personal basis. Very minor thing, but I can at least get that.

Just plain gave it up. Too bad, cause I liked him and thought he had an important role as a pooch punter. Also a central Iowa kid.

The ins and outs with walk-ons is to be expected. I think there's been about as many additions as subtractions. I could post all the new walk-ons on the roster since Campbell arrived but that'd be a different thread :smile:
So far I don't think any of the departures will really hurt us besides maybe Burton. Not sure how much that will hurt us because he wasn't able to make it through a whole season healthy. It might work out better for the unit to have the same guys in there every week even if his replacement isn't as good(which is likely)
