Probably Heisse.Whose mins are you going to take away to give Watson time on the floor?

Why jump to these conclusions? It does not make any sense why Watson didn't see minutes in the Colorado game. Speculating why is also completely fine for us fans to do, and what else would we talk about after a 30 point victory? Many of us, including me, would've loved to have seen him get some tick.
With all of that said, there's definitely a legitimate reason why he's not playing. Watson is obviously better than our walkons and Fish, and he's earned a right to see minutes in blowouts. He's either banged up and can't go full contact yet, there's a disciplinary reason (not bad enough to get suspended though), or he's transferring at the semester.
I believe he played as a true Frosh. So he should still have a redshirt year available regardless, right? He can always redshirt. Just come up with an injury, we’ve seen it many times before.
Yeah you're right those were all just hypotheticals and absolutely none of them could be true. He could've just as well not gotten in because of what you mentioned as well. We as fans don't need to know honestly. And it doesn't really matter. There is definitely a reasonable explanation though. Why jump to these conclusions?
It could be that he’s a veteran guy and getting 2 mins in a blowout don’t mean much, so might as well let the walking play. Kelderman and Rock playing is kind of irrelevant given their positions.
You could be right, but I don’t think jumping to the possibility of disciplinary reasons is fair.
I would fully expect that if you put out full depth chart Watson would be ahead of Fish. But it really doesn’t matter. There’s rotation guys and non-rotation guys. Playing time in garbage time for non-rotation guys might not follow some expected pecking order.
Thanks. I remembered the interview- but not the game in which the segement on Mr. Watson played.I'm kind of curious as to why he didn't get in vs Colorado, but not enough to start a player name thread about it. There have been some plausible explanations provided, minor injury, transfer, simply likes it at ISU and will stay for his degree.
It was interesting that at halftime of the Indiana-Indianapolis game on espn+, they showed an interview with Watson, discussing, among other things, what he needed to work on to increase his role.
I can't accept your opinion if you can't spell his name.Probably Heisse.
Yep.I believe he played as a true Frosh. So he should still have a redshirt year available regardless, right?

Funny how some of you want to win but do it with the players you want them to. Please enlighten us who should he be taking minutes from?
That’s not even close to true. Posters started crying about his playing time even before the season started. That's not it. It's not about rotation minutes. It was the fact that he didn't go in at all when they cleared the bench with 2 minutes left. It's a legitimate question. Not sure why this is so difficult for the the thread topic dictators to figure out.

I mean heise easily guy barely scores and would say Demarion is a better defenderFunny how some of you want to win but do it with the players you want them to. Please enlighten us who should he be taking minutes from?
Heise is so much better on defense than Watson.I mean heise easily guy barely scores and would say Demarion is a better defender
Lol, yeah right. These guys are competitive by nature, if you think a scholarship athlete is just grateful to be on the team I don't know what to tell you.My son was in Calc II with him their freshman years. He is obviously very smart and a true STUDENT athlete. He's very humble and quiet. He knows he has a role on a great team and can enjoy it with his brothers while getting a degree from a school he loves. Too me, it's that simple.

Point #2, we've seen TJ already run off numerous players because they weren't good enough, you think he's just going to keep a scholarship open as a charity case because he enjoys going go class?
