There was one game last year we would have lost except for his play off the bench. I wouldn't give up on him.
I don’t think anyone is giving up on him but he’s not currently in the rotation. Things can change quickly.

Lol, yeah right. These guys are competitive by nature, if you think a scholarship athlete is just grateful to be on the team I don't know what to tell you.

Point #2, we've seen TJ already run off numerous players because they weren't good enough, you think he's just going to keep a scholarship open as a charity case because he enjoys going go class?

Will there be a day when you don't overdramatize the situation?

How do you know every athlete is like this?

He is the one guy that is that long athlete type that can guard the other teams gazelles and rebound against it. Auburn exploited that. The CU coach thought he could, he said in the time out we were slow footed. If there is one weakness on our team it is we do not have that 6'5 to 6'8 long athletic type. Maybe we do not need that to win this year because we are good enough at other things to compensate for not having it. But if we need it, Watson is the guy. My hope is he is redshirting and TJ has told him with all these final year players on the roster he will have a big role next year.
I get that the Colorado coach told his team we were slow footed, but we also beat them by almost 30. Maybe he's not that reliable a source?

College athletics is extremely cutthroat nowadays, I highly doubt he is just keeping him around because he's getting good grades.

And that's not what I'm saying either.

Somewhere in there is a purpose for the team.

TJ imo has seemed to do be a very clear communicator with his players so they know where they stand and as long as that's the case, I don't see the point in worrying about it or assuming something weird is happening behind the scenes or whatever.

I never said he was right, I was saying that was the observation he made that he thought he could exploit it. Obviously it didn't work and we are so skilled in other areas we were good enough to compensate for that. With that said, I do not think we are as fleet a foot up front on defense up front as King, Ward, and Jones.

Asking questions is not "crying" about it. This thread was started based on him not going in at all against Colorado. Not even when Rock , Keldrman and Fish went in in the last minute or so.

That's one way to take what I said. Have a great day!

That doesn't mean someone's physically prepared for vigorous daily exercise/drills etc.
That's why you go through boot camp. They all should be in shape. He's not on the bench because he wasn't torching sprints in July.

Isn't 'boot camp' fall camp?

If he didn't do summer workouts or something or keep up his fitness before the fall he may be behind (which to be fair really doesn't explain not playing 2 minutes in one game after getting in previously).

Either way the point that someone is skinny doesn't define their fitness level.

That's not what I'm arguing. I'm arguing it's dumb to think he isn't playing because he was behind in wind sprints.

And no, they do their boot camp in the summer.

I think it’s to be expected on a fan site. Not even going to touch why people ask about 4 and 5 star kids, that should be obvious.
Watson was a pretty solid contributor last year. The system didn't change and he is better than the walk-ons so the question is legitimate.
