I just wanted to say I am jealous of all you outside since early this morning and I think you are all crazy waiting in line in the cold.

I was unlucky enough to never have to camp out during the Mcdermott years.

It is awesome to see the support you gave the women last night and the men tonight.

You all get a lot of undeserved flack here sometimes.

I absolutely love the craziness that is our student fans and band. And I'm proud of them braving the cold to be there in support of the teams. Good on them!

Not gonna lie. I would've hated camping out for games. Never had to do it any of my years, except maybe one game and I wasn't even in town anyway to go. I was front row for every football, MBB, and WBB game my freshman year. Would've been hella difficult to do that these days

Cyclone Alley & football student section is a huge part of what makes ISU sports great. Loudest and best around.

My only complaint on students I've noticed recently is during Thanksgiving or Xmas/New Years breaks, if you aren't staying in Ames: SELL or even GIVE AWAY your tickets rather than basically burning them!

I'm sure a Cyclone fan somewhere will take it and put it to use. I used to love a good free ticket back in the day before I could afford season tickets.

I'm 90% sure the student ticket package doesn't include those games (for basketball). Or at least didn't when I was in school

It doesn't. Those seats are single game public tickets.

They make those seats available to the general public. At least for MBB. There are a few Big 12 home games available on Cyclones.com for those interested.

Fair, I should amend to football/Thanksgiving, then. I know students still have tickets to games around that holiday.

I think it was my senior year they made it only available on your student ID and you “swiped” to get in and could only transfer it to other students who also had to swipe. Before you could swipe or print it out. Making it much easier to transfer.

Not sure what the process is now.

Students couldnt line up till 12:01am today. Not sure how it works but most students are waiting in line in shifts with their friends so they dont have to be out there all day.
