Dan Winters leaving WHO

I must have blinders on but I've never noticed any of them having any political leanings. Maybe Cynthia Folder but that's just because she dated the Jethros owner, who is a known republican.

WHO has had a really bad habit of often interviewing the governor or some other high ranking republican and then not bothering to get the other side over the last few years. That's my only complaint. They otherwise have fairly good coverage.

Not to worry.......TV8 balances that scale and then some.

To be honest I have not noticed either station with political leanings. I have always just chosen to watch WHO over KCCI because it always feels like KCCI takes themselves too seriously.

Funny how we all just assume no one watches WOI and don't factor them into the conversation.

I've noticed that as WHO has leaned increasingly to the right, the balanced and/or left-leaning anchors & reporters are leaving. IIRC, wasn't WHO part of that company (Sinclair?) that wanted all of its station anchors to read some sort of blanket propaganda statement on air a couple of years ago?
We don't have a channel loyalty in our home so we've bounced between KCCI and WHO. Neither has a real political lean IMO. WHO is definitely more politically forward than KCCI, but I don't ever really feel like they're pushing one side or the other.

Sorry folks - I wasn't paying attention to the forum I was in.

I apologize for the cave talk; I would delete the post but too many have already quoted it.
Eh, IMO that's not political talk. I think if you got specific, then that would warrant the cave. I think your opinion was a political opinion without being politically charged...if that makes sense?

No, or not quite. They were trying to buy us though. Failed miserably. Lied so bad about what they were doing that the FCC (Trump appointee controlled at the time, for reference) nuked the deal at the 11th hour.

They then ended up buying the Fox Sports Nets instead (now Ballys), which has somehow gone even spectacularly worse than the failed acquisition.

I can't believe nobody watches WOI. Their productions do seem cheaper but Samantha Mensa and Stephanie Engelson more than make up for it.

That's a bummer about Price, used to see him working out at Fitness World West, guy knows his way around the weight room.

I just find it funny when people complain about "cave posters" then hit the reactions or also post political takes.
Atleast you own a simple mistake, they aren't owning irony.
I added one of them to my ignore list after just reading their post.

I actually like channel 5. They usually have good up and coming talent, and Brad Edwards is a good meteorologist
