Any of you been paying attention to this feud? Gotten interesting lately. Yesterday Colin called out DP for being lazy and needing "35 producers" to fill a segment, and today he fired back epically.

Colin is a really interesting listen most days but is an elitist liberal punk, don't always agree with what he says but brings up good points. DP is a legend, sure he gets a little off topic and likes his celebrity, but doubting his work ethic is one thing I wouldn't do. The guy does it all.

I don't listen to either guy but if I'm picking sides it sure as hell won't be Cowherd's.

If you don't like elitist punks don't waste your time with SVP and Rusillo.

Dan Patrick was teaming up with Keith Olbermann to be the greatest duo in sports television history on the 4-letter when Colin was doing what.......? Oh, he was the weekend sports anchor at some station in Tampa, then moved up to the big-time in Portland, OR.

Cowturd us an arrogant jerk that fishes for ratings and controversy.

I understand why some people don't like DP but those are some of the same reasons why I like him. It is more like buddies sitting around talking sports and life.

Agreed, Colin sits around and shoves politics and policy down our throat looking for knee jerk ratings. DP may not always have the most straight forward sports show, but neither do Murph and Andy and IMO DP still does some of the best interviews. Listening to DP is a lot like sitting in your living room BSing sports with 5 buddies

i like them. Them and Lebatard are the only two national shows I listen to. Le Batard is a contrarian so some segments I just have to skip but mostly it's just a funny show .

Honestly I didn't know he was trying to get into politics. ..haven't listened to him in sox years or so.

I try not to listen to Cowherd but on the occasions I have heard his show he seems to take the logical side to an uncontroversial argument and acts like the majority of the people are on the other side of the argument and he's got some controversial take that most people won't like, it's weird

I wouldn't call Cowherd a 100% liberal. I actually like Cowherd and SVP and Rusillo. Not a big fan of Patrick or M&M.

I don't think there's a personality out there where I'd want to hear just their voice for 3 hours sprinkled with interviews. For me, the best part of any radio show is the off the cuff banter between the hosts.

Colin is very good at what he does. However, he comes off as so condescending, I'm almost insulted after listening for too long.

DP had a brilliant response.

Very much this. I'm jealous as hell of Dan Patrick. He gets to hang out in a man cave talking sports while shooting hoops and playing on a golf sim during his breaks. He's sponsored by some awesome companies that throw him some amazing perks. I could really give a rip about rubbing elbows with celebs but he seems to enjoy it so good for him. I guess if it got me on a movie set with Jen Aniston and Salma Hayek my perspective might change there a little too.

All that said, I don't question his work ethic just because he gets to do something that 99% of us would love to do. He's everywhere and he still manages to be very in tune on a wide array of topics. He's got great connections that lead to some excellent interviews, but he's not afraid to ask the tough question. DP can be pretty full of himself at times but I like that he gives credit to his staff. I've spent almost no time listening to Cowherd but he comes across as a pompous ***** who's looking for shock value so I'm not too worried if I'm DP. I'm glad he took a (very) little time to respond.

I can listen to SVP and Rusillo. They get lost in some pretty unfunny bits they think are hilarious though.

The only time I catch Cowherd anymore is when I'm going out for lunch and I swear about 20% of the time he's railing on Kobe.

Loved the DP response. Cowherd is the biggest *-*** in national sports radio. How anyone to can stand to listen to the garbage he spews is beyond me.

DP is about the only sports guy I can listen to on a regular basis.

That response was pretty funny.

I wonder if/how Colin will respond. As DP said, pretty easy to talk tough when you have the muscle of ESPN backing you.
