Cyclone Theme for Firefox 3.0

try downloading it again. rename it again. Open the Tools/Addons page. Minimize FF and then drag and drop the file in the Tools/addons page.

I'm not sure why it isn't working for you Cyclone62. You have downloaded Firefox 3.0, correct? I think once I make a few more changes over the next few days I will upload it to Firefox's addons site so you can install it directly from there.

No dice, Keep. I have no idea why this isn't working. Unless my computer is just a gigantic piece of crap (which it is).
I was getting the same error. I restarted, deleted the old install, downloaded another one using IE, and then installed it in FireFox.

Nick, please let us know when you have uploaded to the addons site, if you will.

A couple of months ago, I had noticed a number of college themes at the add-on site but noticed none for ISU. Terrific that you have done so. Thanks! And to back up isucyfan, congrats on the notice you've gotten (30 terrific themes).

It's there. I just downloaded it from it, but you have to be a registered user to get it, probably because it's from a third party user/designer is my guess.

I had to update to 3.0 before installing the ISU theme. Thought updates were automatic . . . hmmmmm.

The ISU Theme is cool . . . except for the menu headings. Either the Cardinal is too dark, or the font characters too thin. Hard to read the menu headers.

One other thing. Since installing the theme a few moments ago, a number of the characters I type are capitalized, e.g. ThE litTle broWN foX. Is this a theme glitch, maybe?

THanks much.

I haven't experienced that glitch, cyvalley. Is it in forums, websites, googling, or what?

So far, I've noticed it only in replying to posts here. Maybe v.3.0 isn't sitting well with my PC. It was new in February, I update the OS and other stuff, so it should be good to go, I'd think.

Is 3.0 beta, or a full release? Hey, thanks, Cyclone62.

(I just randomly typed a hundred characters or so, and it's not doing it now. Go figure, I guess. . . .) Nick's theme colors are cool, I must say. It's just the menu type face (or point size). . . .

The full release was either Tuesday or Wednesday this week. I think maybe your keyboard is messed up.

Please note: this is coming from someone that knows nothing about computers.

I've put the theme on firefox's addon site, but before they put it on the public site it needs to receive positive reviews from registered users. You can access it at: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/7758

This is also the most recently updated version with some minor improvements from the version posted in the zip file below. Also, it might work easier to install for those who have been unable to if you register with firefox and install it through that site.

Also, for those who are having problems with the theme, would you be willing to post what operating system and browser version you are using? I have only tested it on Vista so comments from anybody on XP, a Mac, or any other operating system would be great.

You bet, Nick, happy to do so.

I use OS XP Home, SP2, Firefox 3.0. Downloaded your theme from the Firefox Add-on site. Seems to be working fine. (Got a question later about bookmarks, they're managed differently than the 2.X version of Firefox, it looks like.)
