Cujo just gonna need to rub the voters’ noses in it and come back next year and lead the league in scoring. Perfectly capable

Makes me wonder - has that combo occurred previously in history of Big 12? I suppose it did but without doing intense research no example comes to mind.If you get two players on the first team, but finish 5th in the league, your remaining players must really SUCK!
Yea that's a head scratcher. It's so blatant, it couldn't have been an intentional slight, right?![]()
Phillips 66 All-Big 12 Men’s Basketball Awards Announced
In Houston’s first season as a Big 12 member, Jamal Shead was named both Player of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year while Kelvin Sampson was selected Coach of the Year to highlight the 2023-24 Phillips 66 All-Big 12 men’s basketball awards, chosen by the head coaches. Every first teamer gets a paragraph in the article. Except Lipsey...
Ya on a cyclones fan webpage it is.He played "starter minutes". The distinction. Is meaningless here.
How many games did McCullar miss. Not quite half?KU getting 2 first team guys for this year is hilarious.
Ya cause we never see bias at play in America. On any page where meaningless distinctions aren't relied upon by voters who should know better, you mean.
*6th ha ha ha ha ha haIf you get two players on the first team, but finish 5th in the league, your remaining players must really SUCK!
I was really hoping Robert would get that. An argument could be made for Robert for most improved too.CJones is definitely deserving of HM.
So is RJones.
Yeah, can't have it both ways. Either we have talent, or TJ should have easily won coach of the year.Finishing second in the Big 12 with a lack of all league performers just draws attention to the absolutely outstanding coaching job by TJ. How in the hell does TJ win with the lack of talent?
I'm not making that claim, I was simply offering an answer that is likely going to be used by those who voted. I already said he probably deserved it. So if you want to claim I'm 'twisting' your words I would say, take a look in the mirror. My point, unlike yours apparently, can be separated from the immediate context here. If a player plays as many minutes or more minutes than many of the starters, then it is silly AF to penalize him or her for not being a starter in selecting those worthy of being honored. That's it.
I'm not even saying he should have made the list for ****'s sake. I'm saying I disagree with those suggesting that the fact he wasn't a starter should preclude him from the list or should be a significant factor.
But somehow you twist that into me saying that cyclone FANATICS are not biased. Of course we are--ALL fans are biased.
I never suggested that awards are given objectively, Master Simpleton. That doesn't preclude me from asserting what I believe objective factors might be. Now I'm gonna go back, delete all the other posts of mine from your misguided pissing match and proceed with my day. Good day to you.Indeed. I was mocking you for thinking these awards are given based on objective terms. Thus the bias.
