These are voted on by coaches, not the Big12 or AP or anything. But I agree it's ridiculous. Maybe just snubbing a non starter
Really should have been 6th man aswell, the guy from BYU is 3rd on the team for minutes and takes the most shots
Without Curtis, there is a 0% chance we are the #2 seed in the Big 12 and #2/#3 in the NCAA Tournament. Almost as valuable as Lipsey, in my opinion.
If you get two players on the first team, but finish 5th in the league, your remaining players must really SUCK!

I can't believe the coaches vote on this. They must delegate it to someone that doesn't help with the scouting report - it reads more like "these are the names I have heard of" list.
I could make the case for TJ or Sampson so have no issues with that. Two ku players is a little off puting.
They'll have plenty of time to sit around home and polish their trophies after the first weekend.
I didn’t see enough from McCullar in conference games, even when he did play to make him all Big 12.

I am ok with Sampson winning it. Everyone, including most here were saying Houston would still be good, but their days of just blasting through a conference were in for a reality check in the Big 12. Well, turns out we were all wrong. I was very wrong as I thought they would have at least 5 conference losses if everything went right.
They crushed this league this year.
I'm not bashing on Sampson I just thought what TJ did was much more impressive.
Never said you were bashing on Sampson, as I am almost exclusively in the line of what you are thinking. I just think this is one of those times where a team expected to win a conference title actually somehow exceeded those lofty expectations. TJ absolutely could have won it and would have deserved it. This is just one of those years I am totally fine with a coach winning that maybe was expected to win the conference title.
Honestly he seems like a borderline power conference player, not HM in the nation's top conference. All of their 3pt shooters are more valuable pieces. He only played 17mpg.
