Crowd For Saturday

I think you have to account for some people will buy tickets last minute. Might not account for a lot, but if we get enough rain to keep farmers out of the field or similarly people see a more favorable forecast for Saturday, there might be a last minute surge on tickets. I do see that the $30 tickets are almost gone, so there have been steady sales all week.

I've been to the tornado game, chilly/flurries vs Mizzou for the North title in 04 and the -20 KU windchill ice bowl. Won't miss this one either!

I was at all of those games although my wife has never forgiven me for dragging her to the Misery game. Needless to say she didn't go to the KU 8 degrees kick off game with me. I also skipped half a day of work and drove 4 hours down to be at a Friday night game against the #2 team in the country that everyone predicted we had no chance of winning.

Yes, I have had to miss some games this season due to parental commitments but I will be there Saturday.

Looks like fewer than 1,500 seats remain. If we started the week with 10,000 unsold, I am guessing it will be a sellout.

Edit: Looks closer to 2,000 remaining. There are a 1,000 remaining in Section H (visitors section).

Actually, its about 5000 tickets remaining. I did a rough count on all sections and added them up. Take into account 500 mobile tickets, and we're at 57,000 sold.

Interestingly, some sections have more seats than yesterday and some have less.

H has 1000, G and T have 500, J and F are near 400, several with 150-350 (D, C, V, U, S, P)

By my count, we've sold 1000 in the last 24 hours, based on whats available on Ticketmaster. If we do that in the next 24 hours and then another 1000 before game time, we'd be up to 59,000

I doubt it, I think Pollard cares less about a sellout than this board does. It'll be mostly full and super loud, plus probably our best attended late season game ever.

It will be the most-attended Iowa State home game against a team not called Iowa or UNI ever. Currently that honor belongs to the Kansas State game in 2012 which was 56,800. We will beat that on Saturday.

I also think the AD will not run a promotion/flash sale because they know that if they do, they will never sell tickets without one in the future.

I won't blame them. I'd rather have some of their seats remain empty if they do, than have purple in them.

Are we talkin lower level? Because my friends and I should steal them... I have a feeling the upper deck is gonna be extra chilly with the wind.

I think most of their empty seats were in upper deck I think. Upper deck won't be bad if you are in the right spot with win at your back.

Two of our kids have All-State Band auditions Saturday so they are driving up on their own and will probably miss the beginning of the game. Should we buy some inflatable dolls to fill their seats until then to make stadium look better? Somehow I doubt the cameras pan to our nosebleed seats.

Don't waste money on that. I can guarantee that @JohnnyDakota has some you can borrow. Hopefully both your kids are female so the dolls match.

There will defiantly be a couple of empty looking sections and some half full ones. What is really going to be sad is if the student section in the upper deck is 2/3 empty.
It sounds like there is a secondary market for students looking for tickets in the student section and tickets are going for $40. That's not bad considering in previous seasons at this time of the year you can't give them away.
