Crowd For Saturday

It will be the most-attended Iowa State home game against a team not called Iowa or UNI ever. Currently that honor belongs to the Kansas State game in 2012 which was 56,800. We will beat that on Saturday.

I also think the AD will not run a promotion/flash sale because they know that if they do, they will never sell tickets without one in the future.

I wouldn't say never, but that will encourage last minute buyers to wait until the last minute.

There will defiantly be a couple of empty looking sections and some half full ones. What is really going to be sad is if the student section in the upper deck is 2/3 empty.
I will bet you cycash that won’t be true.

Like other have said I’m seeing student tickets going for 35$ and above. I’ll be dressing up as a gnome with my friends and going.

I think most of their empty seats were in upper deck I think. Upper deck won't be bad if you are in the right spot with win at your back.

Exactly right -- a win at our backs means nothing else matters until the next game!

I can't believe all of the good seats left in the upper deck on the west side. Not talking about section H either. But those are the 65.00 tickets so I can understand why they didn't get bought.

Does anyone know when the mobile tix are allocated? Are they already factored into the taken seats or are they available until they assign mobile tix passes? I would think they are already "greyed" out for the calculation of seats available but am curious.

My totally uniformed guess is that they primarily use those tickets to fill in singles that would otherwise go unsold and then just put the rest in the upper deck. So I'd guess that they will show all those seats as "available" in the hopes of selling them until whenever they assign the mobile seats, so at some point tonight a couple hundred blue dots on the seating chart will grey out.

And if for some reason there was a huge surge later on today they'd stop selling tickets once the number of seats showing as available was equal to the number of mobile tickets left to assign.

People ragging on student section attendance don't realize how much they pack into the lower sections. People stand on the concrete and on the seats. The very bottom is probably at 150% capacity. They would have to oversell the student section by at least 150% to make the entire thing look full. (Not saying they shouldn't do that)

4700 on ticketmaster. A lot sold on the east side, but more opened up on west side.

That just means that people are dumb and would rather pay more for some reason. Never understood the Ebay sellers who basically just buy stuff from a store and resell on Ebay and make money. That and it indicates that demand is good for the game.

Iowa State usually goes into these games really excited and then lays a giant stinky egg. Have things really turned the corner for good? We'll find out. My heart says ISU 35-31 but my head says TCU 42-21. Other parts say something else.
