CyTwins is going to see a lot of notifications on his dashboard, lol, and they won't be happy ones. I agree with the poster above, 9-9, split Big 12 tourney games, get a first four game with an 18-14 record.
10-8, lose the 4/5 game, 18-13. We'll beat Baylor at home to solidify a 10 seed.
I think CyTwins is tough enough to handle it
I'd feel pretty good knowing these posters were going about their daily lives for months with the thought of getting one back on cytwins on an anonymous internet message board in their head the entire time.
I agree that it is juvenile in nature...but when you have strong takes it is going to happen. I enjoy Cytwins posting (as well as yours Gunner) although I will not always agree. I think Cytwins will be fine.
People get predictions wrong all the time. That's why they are predictions. I'd love for CyTwins to still be right.

I predicted 10-8, we'll probably go 9-9. Didn't think I was overly optimistic
Before conference play I'd have taken that. Even more so now.
So close, yet a lot of teams are. With Malou and Lard as big risks they needed more than signing Holden. Carter should have been booted. CW made it sound as though the staff recognized the Holden miss early in camp. Imo Young should have gotten Holden's development minutes from Day 1. They haven't done a great job with NWB and Jackson either, but at least there's an opportunity cost there.
Then there's the whole style thing it felt like we settled down in to something sustainable after OSU and then BOOM we're doing something totally different against TCU.
In the grand scheme this is ISU basketball in conference play no matter who the coach is. Win a couple, lose a couple, win one, lose three, lose two at home, win two on the road. This year is even worse because the conference is so top heavy games against the top 3 are looking like automatic L's instead of toss ups.

I think the pressure to defend Hilton and its mystique can almost be a drawback in years like this. More than anything, though, I think we've hit a bit of a wall. We just looked exhausted in the last 8 minutes.
You are going to Lawrence? I could have gone for free with GREAT seats, from Coach Mann, 2 years ago and I declined out of principle. I won't ever set foot in there.
This year will be miserable.
Im not predicting a win, but its a textbook trap game for KU. They have Baylor at home tonight, ISU on Saturday, and go to Manhattan for Big Monday.
I still think 10-8. The road won't be easy but at some point this team has to get it together. Too much talent.
