Personally, I think that the whole "lost my love for the game" and "Ames/ISU was too big" is total BS. It's a party line put together by either the Bevins or ISU (or both) to avoid making ISU FB look bad for whatever the real reason for leaving was. I've seen rumors that he thought he should have played last year because he thought he was better than the guys in front of him and also that he thought he should be at DE instead of DT. Also seen rumors that he didn't like Shane Burnham and that Burnham favors out of state kids. To me, Bevins took the easy way out and displayed just the opposite of the hard working blue collar mentality that he supposedly had. I mean, he had his FR year out of the way, so classes would start getting smaller and he was staring at 4 years of being in the DL rotation at the very least if not starting. Lost his love for the game? Hmmm, how come he transfers to NWMSU to play FB? Dedication and intensity may be a little less at that level, but not much if any. I call BS. And then, he is already through the first summer session at ISU, so we can't use that scholarship for next year. Sorry, he screwed ISU and CPR. I'm not going to wish him well. I know that CW has a bias for SW Iowa kids, but I'm just calling it like I see it. I'd feel the same no matter where he was from.
